    Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to processing and executing digital asset transfers between two users. An example method includes receiving a data object defining a digital asset transfer, and the data object may be a query from the first user to initiate an outbound transfer to a second user or an approval of a request for digital asset units from the second user. The method further includes retrieving account balance data objects associated with the digital asset accounts for the first and second users. The method further includes, responsive to determining that the digital asset transfer satisfies one or more transfer conditions, executing the digital asset transfer by executing a closed-loop debit from the first user and executing a closed-loop credit to the second user. The method further includes updating the account balance data object to reflect the resulting balances of each digital asset account.

    Abstract: A computer-implemented method for effectively delivering notifications in data storage environments includes, receiving, by a storage controller from a host system, a request to register the host system with the storage controller to receive notifications. These notifications may be associated with a selected type of event detected by the storage controller. In certain embodiments, the selected type of event is a space-related condition associated with a particular storage resource controlled by the storage controller. The computer-implemented method registers the host system with the storage controller. In response to detecting an event of the selected type on the storage controller, the computer-implemented method transmits a notification from the storage controller to the host system to provide notice of the event. A corresponding system and computer program product are also disclosed.

Executing the digital asset conversion includes causing digital asset units to be debited from the digital asset user account and causing fiat currency units to be credited to a fiat currency user account. The method further includes dynamically providing a notification of execution of the digital asset conversion via the client device, updating account balance data objects associated with the digital asset user account and the fiat currency user account, and subsequent to executing the digital asset conversion, executing a fiat currency transaction (e.g., a settlement) with a digital asset exchange system.

    Abstract: A feature deployment service of a provider network may deploy feature processing units (FPUs) to implement data processing features at both a provider network and edge devices. The use of FPUs may allow a client to use new features at the edge, without delays due to compliance/testing or software upgrades. An FPU includes a model and compute logic that are used to implement a data processing feature. A feature processing service deploys the FPU to an FPU engine at the provider network and also deploys the FPU to edge devices of the client's network that each include an edge FPU engine. The FPU engine at the provider network and the edge FPU engine at each edge device conform to a common specification/API, allowing deployment and use of the same FPU/data processing features at both the cloud and the edge.

    Abstract: Embodiments provide a migration instruction that effectuates the migration of a pluggable database from a source database server instance to a destination database server instance. Upon receiving the migration instruction, the migrating pluggable database is opened at the destination instance. Connections are terminated at the source instance at a rate that is determined based on statistics maintained for one or more of: the migrating pluggable database, the source instance, the destination instance, a container database, etc. Furthermore, once the migration instruction is received, a certain amount of time is provided before the source instance flushes the dirty buffers for the migrating pluggable database from the buffer cache of the source instance. The delay in flushing dirty buffers from buffer cache allows the source instance to provide data blocks, of the migrating pluggable database, directly to the destination database server instance from the cache.

    Abstract: A method for a live migration in a multitenant clustered database aimed at providing efficient migration of transactional online databases with no service interruption or failed requests and minimal impact on quality of service. The migration is facilitated by a client connection pool, which migrates connections from the source node to the target node using a self-adapting algorithm to control the migration rate. The algorithm calculates a base migration rate according to the relative number of connections transferred to the target node. Once base migration rate is calculated, the algorithm accelerates or throttles the base migration rate based on workload behavior and system load, attempting to minimize impact on the migrated tenant, while keeping overall migration time low.
