  • Patent number: 10905995
Abstract: A method for producing biomethane by purifying biogas from non-hazardous waste storage facilities involves compressing the initial gas flow, introducing the gas flow to be purified into at least one adsorber loaded with adsorbents capable of reversibly adsorbing the VOCs, and subjecting the VOC-depleted gas flow to at least one membrane separation step in order to partially separate the CO2 and O2 from the gas flow. The method also involves introducing the retentate from the membrane separation step into at least one adsorber loaded with adsorbents capable of reversibly adsorbing the major portion of the remaining CO2, subjecting the CO2-depleted gas flow exiting the adsorber loaded with adsorbents capable of reversibly adsorbing the major portion of the remaining CO2 to a cryogenic separation step in a distillation column in order to separate the O2 and N2 from the gas flow, and recovering the CH4-rich flow from the cryogenic separation step.

  • Patent number: 10106756
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing biomethane suitable for supplying a natural gas network that incorporates a process for providing heat for heating the biogas production step, the process comprising at least steps of producing biogas by anaerobic fermentation of organic matter, of pretreating and compressing the biogas and also of permeation in order to obtain, after a first separation by permeation, a stream of biomethane and a gaseous permeate having a reduced methane content; the process additionally provides the heat necessary for the anaerobic fermentation step via a boiler using the retentate from a second permeation step fed by the permeate from the first separation.

  • Patent number: 9506605
Abstract: The present invention relates to the production of biomethane intended for supplying a natural gas network from n biogas production plants Ii, with i varying from 1 to n, in which each of the plants produces and stores the biogas which is collected at each of the plants via a mobile collection device and the collected biogas is purified so as to produce biomethane which is subsequently injected into a natural gas network. The invention also makes provision for storing the biogas, partially purified biogas, or biomethane in order to ensure the continuity of the supply of biomethane to the network during the collection round.

  • Patent number: 8826738
Abstract: The structural integrity of a safe-life aircraft component on an aircraft is measured and assessed by a processing unit. The component includes a load-bearing metal element that is free from cracks. In the method, acoustic emissions generated in the metal element are converted into electronic signals. The acoustic emissions converted include relevant acoustic emissions resulting from changes in the structure of the element that make the element more susceptible to the formation of cracks. The electronic signals are set to a processing unit. The processing unit processes over time the signals in conjunction with stored reference data that allows a measure of the structural integrity to be made. Information providing a measure of the structural integrity of the aircraft component is outputted. Thus, deterioration of the structure of the component can be detected and monitored before a crack occurs.
