  • Patent number: 8306820
Abstract: A is recognized using a predefinable vocabulary that is partitioned in sections of phonetically similar words. In a recognition process, first oral input is associated with one of the sections, then the oral input is determined from the vocabulary of the associated section.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 4, 2005
Date of Patent: November 6, 2012
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 7266373
Abstract: System and method for the registration of a mobile part (MT, OA, HA) in a base station (BS) in a telecommunication system designed for wireless communication between a mobile part (MT, OA, HA) and a base station (BS. The base station and the mobile part are initially placed in an access standby state. Subsequently, a verification procedure determines a message exchange (MA) between the mobile part and the base station if the base station supports a voice-controlled registration and if the mobile part is theoretically connected to the base station. If the theoretical connection is determined, a user channel connection suitable for the transmission of voice data is established between the mobile part and the base station. The mobile part is then either registered in the base station, or the registration attempt is rejected.

  • Publication number: 20070005358
Abstract: A word to be recognized being spelt out by a user for determining a list of hypotheses from a vocabulary of a voice recognition system. Measures of distance for a similarity between the recognized sequence of letters and entries of the vocabulary of the voice recognition system are determined. One of the following measures is subsequently undertaken: if differences between a number of distance measurements determined are below a predeterminable first value, a request is made by the voice recognition system for the user to continue spelling out the word to be recognized. If a predeterminable measure of distance exceeds a predeterminable second value, a request is made by the voice recognition system for the user to repeat the spelling of the word to be recognized.
