  • Publication number: 20230184386
Abstract: A method for extracting a liquid phase of a cryogen comprising the liquid phase and a vapour phase from an interior volume of a storage dewar through an extraction means, utilizing a push gas introduced into the vapour phase of the cryogen through an outlet of a supply line provided between a push gas supply and the interior volume of the storage dewar, the supply line partially extending through the liquid phase within the interior volume.

  • Patent number: 11231144
Abstract: A method for supplying helium to at least one end user is disclosed by feeding helium from at least one container of helium to an end user through at least one supply system, wherein a mass flow meter and a pressure transmitter, in electronic communication with a programmable logic controller measures an amount of helium being supplied to the at least one user, provides the amount to the programmable logic controller which provides a signal to the at least one end user of an amount of helium that remains in the at least one container and the temperature therein.

  • Publication number: 20140053576
Abstract: A method and apparatus for filling superconductive magnets is disclosed by using gaseous helium to control the flow of liquefied helium from a container to a magnet. By measuring the pressure of the gaseous helium in the container of liquefied helium, it can be determined when to stop the flow of liquefied helium. This can reduce quenches and helium losses which can occur during the transfer of liquid helium from the dewar to the superconductive magnet.

  • Publication number: 20110179811
Abstract: Methods for filling magnets, cooling magnets and energizing magnets are disclosed. The methods are performed at a helium transfill facility, and helium is employed in filling the magnet, cooling the magnet to appropriate temperatures and energizing the magnet such that it can be employed in operations where superconductive magnets are required.

  • Publication number: 20090185969
Abstract: Systems for the recovery of rare gas from a mixed gas stream are described. In particular, systems for the recovery of helium from cluster tools used in semiconductor fabrication are described. In one embodiment, these systems allow for the recovery of rare gas, such as helium, from the waste gas from a processing chamber, or a cluster tool, when a predetermined amount of rare gas is known to be present in the waste gas. In a further embodiment, analyzing means are used to determine the amount of rare gas, such as helium, present in the waste gas and when that amount warrants, the rare gas is recovered from the waste gas using a dedicated rare gas recovery process.
