  • Patent number: 9386280
Abstract: A method for setting up a monitoring camera includes tilting a camera head of the camera to a tilting position in which an optical axis of the camera substantially coincides with a rotational axis that the camera head is turning around when panning, and in which the camera head is able to capture images through a wide angle lens arranged in a fixed position in relation to a base of the camera. The camera head is turned around the optical axis of the camera and captures images until wide angle images captured through the wide angle lens present the desired orientation. A home position value for a pan motor of the camera is stored, wherein the position value represents the position value for the pan motor when the captured wide angle image presents the desired orientation.

  • Publication number: 20160134983
Abstract: A method for audio calibration of an audio device is provided. The method comprises: registering, by a microphone, a representation of an audio signal; processing, by a data processing unit, the registered representation of the audio signal into feedback image data; displaying on a display, the feedback image data; capturing, by a camera, the feedback image data displayed on the display; altering a setting affecting audio of the audio device based on the feedback image data captured by the camera. A system for audio calibration of an audio device is further provided.

  • Patent number: 9282866
Abstract: An upright vacuum cleaner (1) comprises a main body (2) having arranged therein a suction chamber (3), a fan unit (4), a first suction duct (5), a second suction duct (6) and a valve arrangement (7) operable to establish communication between each of the first and second suction ducts and the suction chamber. A floor nozzle arrangement (8) is provided at a first end (9) of the main body and in communication with said first suction duct. An auxiliary nozzle (10) for above-floor cleaning is provided, and an extensible and/or collapsible suction hose (12) connects the auxiliary nozzle to said second suction duct. The cleaner (1) has handle means (11) comprising an elongated recess (13) adapted to contain the greater part of the suction hose. The recess (13) may be open at one end or may be shaped as an open groove.

  • Publication number: 20150082032
Abstract: A method relates to distributing user credentials in a distributed physical access control system, and more generally to distributing user credentials in a distributed system. A method may include storing a user credential database (DB), a first transformed credential DB and a second transformed credential DB for authenticating users to access a first and a second service provided by the device. The method may include generating the first transformed credential DB and the second transformed credential DB based on the user credential DB and comparing a credential received from a user to the first or the second transformed credential DB to determine whether to grant access to the first or the second service. The method may include distributing the user credential DB to a plurality of other devices connected in a network for the other devices to generate transformed credential DBs for authenticating users to access services.

  • Publication number: 20130258115
Abstract: A method calibrates a camera having image sensor having a center position. An image view projected onto the image sensor by a lens is captured. At least one image view boundary of the captured image view is detected. A projection center position corresponding to a center of the projected image view is determined in at least one dimension. Offset between the projection center position and a sensor center position is determined, defined in at least one dimension, corresponding to the center of the image sensor capturing the projected image view. The image sensor is moved in relation to the lens based on the offset in order to arrive at a substantially zero offset in at least one dimension between the center of image sensor and the center of the projected image view.

  • Publication number: 20080149479
Abstract: A single electron transistor device for sensing at least one particle, includes at least two electrodes positioned with a gap formed between the electrodes and an activation object positioned in the gap with an insulating layer between the activation object and each electrode. The activation object which is able to transfer electrons is arranged with at least one binding structure bonded to it for receiving the at least one particle. The electrodes are formed with an inter distance of less than 50 nm and the electrodes are connectable directly or indirectly to a signal acquisition system. The sensing device is arranged to allow a tunnelling current proportional to the presence of the at least one particle in the binding structure, to flow through the activation object. A method, and system using a single electron transistor device fabricated with micro/nano fabrication methods are also disclosed.
