  • Patent number: 11230034
Abstract: A method for producing an aircraft structural component includes the steps of introducing a plurality of semi-finished product layers for producing a component from a fibre-reinforced, thermoplastic plastic material into a compression mould, applying pressure to the stacked semi-finished product layers, the stacked semi-finished product layers being fixed, before pressure is applied, at particular points in their position in the compression mould and/or relative to one another in such a way that, while pressure is being applied to the semi-finished product layers stacked in the compression mould, a sliding movement of the semi-finished product layers relative to one another and/or relative to the compression mould, preventing wrinkling in the semi-finished product layers, takes place, and removing the aircraft structural component from the compression mould.

  • Publication number: 20160067767
Abstract: A method for producing a sand core for the production of ventilated brake discs provides a sand body which has a circular and disc-shaped basic form and which has apertures. The apertures are arranged in circumferentially distributed fashion in the region of a ring of the circular and disc-shaped basic form. Subsequently, the sand body is partially coated with a liquid facing material, wherein the sand body is, in the region of a coating ring, washed around with the liquid facing material by way of a flooding process, wherein the coating ring covers the ring with the apertures, and wherein the apertures serve as flow ducts for the liquid facing material. Subsequently, the liquid facing material adhering to the sand body is dried. Also disclosed is a sand core and a coating apparatus for carrying out the partial coating of a sand body.

  • Patent number: 8863805
Abstract: A pressing-on device for pressing fiber-reinforced thermoplastic materials onto a mold is described. The pressing-on device has a main body and a pressing-on layer provided on a surface of the main body. The pressing-on layer is implemented in this case using an inorganic material, preferably a ceramic material, and has a flexibility because of its structure which allows it to adapt itself to the contour of a mold. Increased heat resistance of the pressing-on device and improved properties of the processed fiber-reinforced thermoplastic material can be achieved.

  • Publication number: 20080093026
Abstract: A device is disclosed for pressing a tape, in particular a thermoplastic, carbon-fiber reinforced tape, for a fiber/tow placement method. A portion of the tape can be pressed by means of a pressure roller on a variable surface contour of a laminating device. An elastomer coating for even pressing of the tape adheres to the circumference of the pressure roller with a material bond. This may provide the advantage that a permanent and reliable connection is created between the elastomer coating and the pressure roller, which furthermore can be easily produced.
