Patent number: 6300847Abstract: A data server having a plurality of hot replaceable processing unit modules. Each module includes a motherboard having plugged therein: a CPU; a main memory; an I/O adapter card, and an interconnect printed board, electrically connected to the motherboard. A backplane has a first connector adapted for coupling to a DC power supply. The interconnect printed circuit board has a DC to DC converter connected to a second connector adapted to mate with the first connector to enable the processing unit module to be hot plugged into, or removed from, the backplane. The backplane has formed thereon a strip transmission line adapted to provide an Ethernet bus for interconnecting a plurality of the modules. A cable management system for a cabinet used to house the module includes at least one vertically extending channel disposed in the cabinet and a fastener adapted to open and enable the a cable to be inserted into the channel and close to retain such cable within the channel.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2000Date of Patent: October 9, 2001Assignee: EMC CorporationInventors: Brian Gallagher, Nikolai Markovich

Patent number: 6169249Abstract: An electrical cabinet stores, or houses, a variety electrical components. The electrical components within the cabinet may be interconnected and may be connected to other electrical components external to the cabinet. The cabinet has an access door with a door stop that allows the door to be locked in an open position. The cabinet contains a workstation with a pivoting platform that supports an electrical component. The cabinet has an extendable bracket that extends allows an electrical component to be extended from the cabinet and removed by lifting the component in an upward direction. The cabinet has a board guide module that aligns a circuit board with an electrical connector in the cabinet. The cabinet has a bulkhead connector that reduces electromagnetic degradation in electrical cables that extend from the cabinet.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 1998Date of Patent: January 2, 2001Assignee: EMC CorporationInventors: Jeffrey Teachout, Nikolai Markovich, Erik Nelson

Patent number: 4054243Abstract: A preparation-making ultracentrifuge is disclosed comprising a magnetic suspension and an electric motor, which are disposed within its casing, said magnetic suspension consisting of a permanent magnet with a magnetic circuit, the armature of said electric motor being made in the form of a sleeve fixedly secured to the centrifuge rotor is disclosed. Such construction of a preparation-making ultracentrifuge enables the rotor to be accelerated to the required speed within a comparatively short time period and allows a reduction in the weight of the electric motor armature.Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 1975Date of Patent: October 18, 1977Inventors: Gennady Ivanovich Volkov, Vladilen Mikhailovich Denisov, Anatoly Efimovich Ermishin, Jury Petrovich Zaozersky, Vladimir Veniaminovich Zozin, Viktor Pavlovich Kapitonov, Isaak Kushelevich Kikoin, Vladimir Alexandrovich Lebedev, Nikolai Markovich Lystsov, Leonid Ivanovich Matveev, Timofei Vasilievich Popov, Vasily Andreevich Ryabov, Albert Grigorievich Sukhov, Vitaly Mikhailovich Sysoev, Alexandr Alexeevich Shishin, Nikolai Mikhailovich Shatalin, Stanislav Alexeevich Shesterikov, Sergei Petrovich Martynov, deceased, by Nina Fedorovna Martynova, administrator, by Olga Sergeevna Martynova, administrator, Alexandr Sergeevich Martynov

Patent number: 3957690Abstract: A heterogeneous catalyst for oxidation of propylene into propylene oxide in the liquid phase which is a carrier with active components supported thereon, the latter being oxides of scandium, yttrium, indium, gallium, thallium, or rare-earth elements of the lanthanum group, or mixtures of oxides of the above metals. In addition to with said active components, the catalyst can also contain silver, oxides of vanadium, molybdenum, tungsten, bismuth, manganese, or tantalum, or mixtures of the above active components. The method for preparing the catalyst consists in that the carrier is treated with an aqueous solution of a mineral acid or a mixture of mineral acids at 80.degree. to 100.degree.C, washed with water and dried at 300.degree. to 400.degree.C. The thus treated carrier is impregnated with aqueous solutions of salts of the corresponding metals. The impregnated carrier is treated at a temperature of 700.degree. to 800.degree.C.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 1973Date of Patent: May 18, 1976Inventors: Alexandr Vasilievich Bobolev, Alexandr Sergeevich Tatikolov, Natalya Nikolaevna Lukashina, Ivan Stepanovich Krainov, Nikolai Markovich Emanuel
