  • Patent number: 7588734
Abstract: The invention describes a laboratory reactor for the kinetic study of catalytic reactions calling for a gaseous reaction phase and a liquid reaction phase, characterized by a capillary shape, a substantially uniform arrangement of the catalyst grains along the reactor, with, on average, every cross-section of the reactor comprising a defined and constant number of catalyst grains, and this number of grains being between 1 and 4. The reactor that is the object of the invention is especially well suited for studying reactions of hydrogenation, hydrotreatment, and hydrocracking.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 18, 2006
Date of Patent: September 15, 2009
    Assignee: Institut Francais du Petrole
Inventors: Georgios Bellos, Pierre Galtier, Nikolaos Papayannakos
