Publication number: 20140304750Abstract: A system to provide an interactive experience with a participant device operating in relation to a vehicle is disclosed. The interactive experience may include live experience presentations synchronized across multiple participant devices. The multiple participant devices may be operating within or outside of the vehicle. The system may identify a relationship between the participant device and the vehicle. A live experience presentation on the participant device is configured based on the identified relationship. One or more of multimedia and/or multi-sensory streams may be communicated amongst the multiple participant devices and an experience service as layers. The layers are composed to generate the live experience presentation. The experience service may be implemented by an experience platform system.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 3, 2013Publication date: October 9, 2014Applicant: Net Power and Light, Inc.Inventors: Tara Lemmey, Nikolay Surin, Stanislav Vonog

Patent number: 8789121Abstract: The present invention contemplates a variety of improved methods and systems for providing an experience platform within a CDN, as well as sentio or experience codecs, and experience agents for supporting the experience platform. The experience platform may be provided by a service provider to enable an experience provider to compose and direct a participant experience. The service provider monetizes the experience by charging the experience provider and/or the participants for services. Alternatively, the experience platform may be provided by the CDN, either as an integrated component of the CDN, or a supplemental complimentary aspect. The participant experience can involve one or more experience participants. The experience provider can create an experience with a variety of dimensions and features. As will be appreciated, the following description provides one paradigm for understanding the multi-dimensional experience available to the participants.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 2013Date of Patent: July 22, 2014Assignee: Net Power and Light, Inc.Inventors: Stanislav Vonog, Nikolay Surin, Tara Lemmey

Publication number: 20140164484Abstract: A method and system for providing computer-generated output and in particular graphical output. An output capturing and encoding engine is configured to intercept graphical output from an application on a server, organize the output into regions having similar motion and/or graphical characteristics, and convert the data from each region into a format suitable to balance transmission efficiencies versus display quality or capability at the receiving end.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 2, 2013Publication date: June 12, 2014Applicant: Net Power and Light, Inc.Inventors: Stanislav Vonog, Nikolay Surin, Vadim Shtayura

Publication number: 20140136700Abstract: Resource-aware dynamic bandwidth control uses information about current network state and receiver performance to avoid, minimize and/or recover from the effects of network spikes and data processing spikes. Linear models may be used to estimate a time required to process data packets in a data processing queue, and are thus useful to determine whether a data processing spike is occurring. When a data processing spike occurs, an alarm may be sent from a client to a server notifying the server that the client must drop packets. In response, the server can encode and transmit an independent packet suitable for replacing the queued data packets which can then be dropped by the client and the independent packet present to the processor instead.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 23, 2014Publication date: May 15, 2014Applicant: Net Power and Light, Inc.Inventors: Gleb Dubovik, Vadim Shtayura, Nikolay Surin

Publication number: 20140091897Abstract: The present invention contemplates a variety of methods and systems for providing an event experience by adjusting contents of an event based on emotional engagements of a specific participant of the event. In one embodiment, the computer-implemented method includes, identifying at least one behavior of the specific participant at a specific physical venue, when the specific participant is participating in an event on the network; determining emotional engagement of the specific participant based on the at least one behavior of the specific participant; and adjusting a content or a content flow of the event in substantial real-time based on the emotional engagement of the specific participant.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 15, 2013Publication date: April 3, 2014Applicant: Net Power and Light, Inc.Inventors: Tara Lemmey, Stanislav Vonog, Nikolay Surin

Patent number: 8689115Abstract: A method and system for distributed computing interface are disclosed. According to one embodiment, a computer implemented method comprises accessing a collaborative interface, wherein the collaborative interface comprises persistent shared space, wherein visual representation of the collaborative interface is identical for each client accessing the collaborative interface. In a single action, an object is dragged into the collaborative interface and the object is displayed in real time in the collaborative interface. The object is accessible to other clients in the collaborative interface and the state of the object is continuously synchronized. The object is manipulated in the collaborative interface and other clients accessing the collaborative interface are viewed.Type: GrantFiled: September 21, 2009Date of Patent: April 1, 2014Assignee: Net Power and Light, Inc.Inventors: Stanislav Vonog, Nikolay Surin, Gilman Louie, Vladimir Kuznetsov

Publication number: 20140068014Abstract: The techniques discussed herein contemplate improved methods and systems for transcoding application content to minimize latency in just-in-time conversion of application formats. In embodiments, a target client device requests application content of a particular format from a content provider. If the content provider does not have a local copy of the requested format, the content is split to multiple segments and a first high-priority segment is identified. This first segment is converted using a dedicated high-performance computing unit and transmitted with minimal latency to the target client device for immediate rendering. Concurrently, remaining segments of the content are converted in multiple lower performance computing units and fed into the target client device. By ensuring that at least a first segment of the application is available for immediate rendering while other segments are converted, the transcoding application minimizes latency delay in rendering of the application in the target device.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 26, 2013Publication date: March 6, 2014Applicant: Net Power and Light, Inc.Inventors: Stanislav Vonog, Nikolay Surin, Tara Lemmey

In some embodiments, a system may synchronize the live event experience by equalizing remote participants with local ones, and remote shared screens with local ones. In some embodiments, attention management may be provided to local and remote participants. In some embodiments, a cloud-based broadcasting system may be provided at a local venue and/or remote venues.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 15, 2013Publication date: March 6, 2014Applicant: Net Power and Light, Inc.Inventors: Tara Lemmey, Stanislav Vonog, Nikolay Surin
