  • Publication number: 20080200116
Abstract: The invention discloses a repeater antenna for use in telecommunications systems on the microwave range, intended to connect a first radio unit at a first site to a second radio unit at a second site (A). The repeater antenna has at least a first and a second antenna element and a feed network for said antenna elements, the antenna elements giving rise to a first and a second antenna beam. The first beam can be used to connect the repeater antenna to said first radio unit, and the second beam can be used for connecting the repeater antenna to said second radio unit. Also, said first and second antenna elements are arranged on a surface where the distance between the two antenna elements along the surface is longer than the shortest distance between the antenna elements.

  • Publication number: 20040170970
Abstract: Methods and reagents for the detection and selection of two interacting-polypeptides, especially integral membrane proteins and transcription factors, by monitoring the reassembly of ubiquitin amino-terminal and carboxy-terminal chimeric polypeptide fragments are disclosed. Negative selection against an N-end rule-labilized marker released following ubiquitin reassembly allows direct selection of the interacting polypeptide pair. Methods to identify agonists and antagonists for certain protein-protein interactions; methods and reagents/kits for identifying proteins that binds a target protein are also provided. The dynamic and adaptable nature of the assay allows adaptation to a number of applications—such as probing the molecular environment of cellular membrane proteins in vivo.

  • Patent number: 5585245
Abstract: Disclosed are novel compositions and methods, based on ubiquitin subdomain fusion proteins, which are useful for studying the interactions of two members of a specific binding pair, both of which are predetermined. A preferred embodiment relates to the determination of a predetermined ligand in a sample.

  • Patent number: 5503977
Abstract: Disclosed are novel compositions and methods useful for studying interactions between proteins. An N-terminal subdomain and a C-terminal subdomain of ubiquitin are linked to a pair of proteins or peptides to be examined for their ability to interact. When contacted with one another, a quasi-native ubiquitin moiety is reconstituted provided that the protein or peptide pair do, in fact, interact (bind) with one another. The quasi-native ubiquitin moiety is recognized and cleaved by ubiquitin-specific proteases after the last residue of ubiquitin. The cleavage at the quasi-native ubiquitin moiety within a linear protein fusion is the indication of interaction between the protein or peptide pair.

  • Patent number: 5288004
Abstract: An apparatus for ejecting fasteners from a magazine by an impact member. The magazine includes an adjustment device for selective adaptation of the magazine to fasteners of a plurality of predetermined lengths. The adjustment device has a body which is rotatable about a longitudinal axis and fixable in at least two positions. The body has two or more longitudinally extending slots, each of different depth, for accommodating a portion of the fasteners. The slots are arranged in the cylindrical body such that when each slot si aligned with a row of fasteners, the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical body is offset from the row of fasteners in a manner such that the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical body does not lie directly above the row of fasteners.

  • Patent number: 4936192
Abstract: Apparatus operating by means of compressed air, comprising a displaceable cylinder, open at both ends, in which there bears a displaceable piston designed for expulsion of fixing elements fed forward below the piston. The cylinder and the piston are displaceable, by the action of air, in a cylinder housing between an upper and a lower end position at which are arranged damping elements. The cylinder and the piston bear with their respective and faces at their respective end positions against a surface of the damping element. The apparatus comprises an inlet and an outlet for the air, the flow of which is controlled by means of a valve, and an upper chamber and a lower chamber. These chambers are in connection with the inside of the cylinder by means of at least one opening in the cylinder wall. Furthermore, the apparatus comprises at least one second opening in the cylinder wall which is in connection with the outlet via a return channel depending on the position of the cylinder.
