  • Patent number: 4394804
Abstract: An inverted generally saucer-shaped buoyant toy, containing a battery powered motor, driving a paddle wheel-type rotor, generates movement of the toy with respect to the body of water in which it floats.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 12, 1981
Date of Patent: July 26, 1983
    Inventor: Nilson V. Ortiz
  • Patent number: 4216609
Abstract: A toy hand gun, having a socket formed in the forward end portion of its barrel for coaxially supporting a generally cylindrical fireworks-type novelty item. A trigger member is slidably supported by the barrel for movement toward and away from the handle for igniting an explosive charge contained by the novelty item when its firing cord is connected with the trigger member and quickly extracted.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 15, 1978
Date of Patent: August 12, 1980
    Inventor: Nilson V. Ortiz
  • Patent number: 4182074
Abstract: An airborne toy comprising an inverted substantially dish-shaped body normally containing at least one rolled up toy parachute. A flexible support strand, extending through an axial opening in the body, is centrally connected with a disk underlying the body for normally supporting the toy and maintaining the rolled up parachute within the body recess. Another support strand, radially entrained across the outer surface of the body, connects the toy parachute with the first flexible strand opposite its connection with the disk for lowering the toy to the surface of the earth when airborne and the parachute has been released.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 10, 1978
Date of Patent: January 8, 1980
    Inventor: Nilson V. Ortiz
  • Patent number: 4134228
Abstract: A projectile launching toy simulating a space gun, which has a generally flat disc-like body is provided with a forwardly biased shaft moved against spring tension by a trigger for releasing a projectile. The projectile comprises an inflated toy balloon having its opening frictionally engaging one end of a tube with the other end of the tube coaxially surrounding the head end of the shaft. Air released from the balloon through the tube when launched simulates a rocket. When the balloon is released a shaft is retracted from the mouth of the balloon by means of a trigger.

  • Patent number: 4040698
Abstract: A wall mounted electric outlet, including an elongated box-like casing having a plurality of longitudinal slots in its front wall, slidably receiving the conductor and locking prongs of an electric plug, when inserted into the casing through a transverse slot formed in one end portion of the front wall in communication with the longitudinal slots. The transverse slot being normally closed by a plunger movable inwardly of the front wall for inserting the plug prongs into the slots. The casing contains a pair of conductor strips contacted by the conductor prongs of the plug.

  • Patent number: 4034500
Abstract: An airborne toy comprising an inverted substantially saucer-shaped body having a flat bottom. A downwardly open recess normally containing a rolled-up toy parachute is closed by flap-like doors hingedly connected to the body. A pair of flexible support strands connected, at one end, with the respective doors extend through a central aperture in the body and are connected together at their other ends for supporting the toy and maintaining the doors closed. Another support strand, entrained across the outer surface of the body, connects the toy parachute with the juncture of the door closing strands for lowering the toy to the surface of the earth when airborne and the parachute is released.

  • Patent number: 3945644
Abstract: A game toy comprising a base, having an upstanding cylindrical ring wall provided with a plurality of circumferentially spaced windows, telescopically receives the depending wall of a top member rotatably supported by a base axle. A plurality of symbols printed on the periphery of the top wall are successively visible through the base ring windows when the top member is rotated. The top member is provided with a plurality of upstanding radial ribs. A releasable brake including a flexible flap, supported by the base, frictionally engages the ribs of the top member when it is manually spun, in either direction about its vertical axis, to stop its rotation and expose, by chance, the symbols through the base windows.
