A plate part above the mounting structure has an opening that opens into the mounting structure opening. A sidewall is joined at one end to the plate part and has a side aperture formed therein. A roller is disposed in the opening in the plate part and directs a cable extending through the opening in the mounting structure to further pass through the side aperture. A hold/release mechanism, disposed above the plate part, holds the cable and prevents its movement when the hold/release mechanism is in a first setting, and releases the cable and permits its movement when the hold/release mechanism is in a second setting.

A spring spool is mounted at the first frame end. A spring has a coiled part wound around the spring spool and has a segment that extends away from the coiled part and is coupled to the block. A single second pulley is disposed at the second frame end and is rotatable about a fixed second axis, the second pulley being the sole pully that is rotatable about the second axis.

The latching assembly is capable of receiving an end portion (216) of the compartment cover such that the latching assembly requires less interactive force to receive the end portion than to release the end portion. In addition, the latching assembly includes an inner component (404) positioned adjacent to the housing and an outer component (402) positioned adjacent to the inner component. The inner component moves together with the outer component to release the end portion of the compartment cover and moves separate from the outer component to receive the end portion of the compartment cover.

    Abstract: A fastener for detachably coupling a housing, such as a battery pack, to an appliance, such as a wireless terminal, is disclosed. In use, the fastener is disposed in a housing. When a user applies a force to the fastener to release the housing from the appliance, the fastener rotates about an axis, causing an engagement feature of the fastener to rotate away from the appliance, thereby decoupling the fastener from the appliance. The fastener includes a biasing member which provides a restoring force that keeps the fastener coupled to the appliance in the absence of a decoupling force. In some embodiments, the fastener includes various features suitable for reducing stress that accumulates in the biasing member as it rotates during decoupling. Such features include a stress-reducing surface, and an offset between the stress-reducing surface and the axis of rotation.
