  • Publication number: 20240043032
Abstract: A method for providing a reference prior for a portion of a route to a planning stack of a vehicle. The method includes accessing manual driving data associated with the route portion, the manual driving data stored in a database; averaging the accessed manual driving data to determine a nominal path for the route portion; and providing the nominal path to the planning stack of the vehicle as the reference prior for the route portion, wherein the planning stack consumes the reference prior for planning maneuvers of the vehicle in traversing the route portion.

  • Patent number: 11847057
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for utilizing an extended cache to access an object store efficiently. An embodiment operates by executing a database transaction, thereby causing pages to be written from a buffer cache to an extended cache and to an object store. The embodiment determines a transaction type of the database transaction. The transaction type can a read-only transaction or an update transaction. The embodiment determines a phase of the database transaction based on the determined transaction type. The phase can be an execution phase or a commit phase. The embodiment then applies a caching policy to the extended cache for the evicted pages based on the determined transaction type of the database transaction and the determined phase of the database transaction.

  • Patent number: 11724690
Abstract: Systems and methods can improve passenger safety for an Autonomous Vehicle (AV) based on the integration of sensor data captured by the AV's interior and exterior sensors. The AV can determine passenger occupancy data corresponding to where each passenger is detected within the AV by the interior sensors. The AV can determine multiple sets of one or more driving actions that the AV can perform at a future time. The AV can generate crash impact data corresponding to where each passenger is detected from one or more simulated collisions between the AV and one or more objected detected by the exterior sensors when the AV performs one or more sets of driving actions from among the multiple sets. The AV can determine ranked sets of driving actions based on the passenger occupancy data and the crash impact data.

  • Publication number: 20230107059
Abstract: The present invention relates to enhancing the image capturing devices, and to enhance the image producing devices, in such a way that they can capture and produce 3D images without the need of any gear to be worn by the viewers. The proposed solution is inspired by ray optics, geometry, mirrors, diamond cuts, eyes, rods & cones of human eyes, and retina design of human eyes. It doesn't “trick” the eyes and brain, it doesn't manipulate the images like current technologies do to give the 3D effect. The invention describes how the light sensors and light emitters, and their layouts to be changed in imaging devices like cameras and TV screens, to capture and produce 3D images, whether or not the directional information can be captured by image sensors and emitters.

  • Patent number: 10332099
Abstract: A system and method allows for paperless billing transaction document exchanges between two parties to a sales transaction, with inherent document verification. In an embodiment, the system and method first encrypts the transaction document data according to a password which itself depends on unique transaction data in a particular sales document. The system and method then employs the unique data values to create a first 2-D barcode which directly represents the document data; and to create a second 2-D barcode which represents the encrypted document data. The two matrix codes are overlapped on a cell-by-cell basis into a single visual representation, employing multiple colors for different combinations of overlapped cells. At a receiving end, the two original matrix codes can be separated by extracting the two black and white 2-D barcodes from the combined color code. The data integrity of the received data is confirmed by checking that the encrypted 2-D barcode is consistent with the plaintext 2-D barcode.

  • Patent number: 9722723
Abstract: The present invention and its embodiments are made to provide for dynamic hitless resizing in optical transport network without any identification of matching time slots by the Network Management System (NMS) or any control plane signaling including Generalised Multi Protocol Label Switching (GMPLS). An aspect of the invention provides for a method of hitless ODUflex connection resizing in an optical transport network by incrementing or decrementing the ODUflex connection between the nodes, based on an indication command given to a source node for bandwidth increase or decrease, by identifying and matching at least one time slot through Link Connection Resizing (LCR) protocol message exchanges. Another aspect of the invention provides for a method of hitless ODUflex connection resizing in an optical transport network by decrementing the matching time slot used for the incrementing operation, in case of unsuccessful incrementing operation between nodes.

  • Patent number: 9547735
Abstract: A configurable module editor and viewer (CMVE) reads the RTL description of a configurable module keeping track of all possible configuration options. Configuration options include pre-processor macros that are normally removed by RTL parsers. The CMVE allows users to view multiple configurations simultaneously. The CMVE assists users in editing the configurable module by presenting a simplified view of interest, while automatically propagating changes and maintaining consistency in the configurable module. The CMVE outputs updated RTL that maintains all configuration options.
