  • Patent number: 11132172
Abstract: Systems and methods for low latency audio data pipelines are disclosed. For example, a software enabled access point is established for direct wireless communication between a microphone device and an electronic device. Additionally, an audio data processing pipeline that bypasses default data processing of an operating system stack of the electronic device is utilized. The audio data processing pipeline includes minimal audio data processing that writes audio data directly to hardware components for output of corresponding audio.

  • Patent number: 10356721
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, devices, and techniques for selecting a device in an environment to act as a communication hub for other devices in the environment. For instance, an environment may include two or more devices that are configured to communicate with one another as well as with remote resources (e.g., Internet-available resources, etc.). In one example, the devices each include a first radio configured to communication over a wireless local area network (WLAN) and a second radio configured to communicate over a short-range wireless communication network, such as Bluetooth, ZigBee, Z-Wave, or the like. A device having a highest battery life may be selected as the communication hub for the devices, such that the other non-hub devices may therefore route messages through the hub using their short-range radios. In addition, the non-hub devices may power off their WLAN radios, thus conserving battery life of these devices.

  • Patent number: 8234307
Abstract: Various embodiments are described for determining a search configuration for a network site. A plurality of network sites are accessed in a server, and for each of the network sites, it is determined whether a search text box exists in a network page of the network site. A search is automatically performed using a search term in the search text box if the search text box exists in the network page and it is determined whether a search term can be identified in association with a search result network page generated from the search. A search configuration is stored that indicates where the search term can be identified in a future network page resulting from a search performed on the network site.

  • Publication number: 20120078906
Abstract: A robust knowledge-based management and sharing system organized by context for expertise-based or context-based searching and retrieval of relevant information is disclosed. The various embodiments and techniques described herein are used to organize a user's data and communications around the user's expertise or one or more contexts the user is associated with such as the user's projects, products, and customers. The organization of user data is derived from the user's competencies and interactions with others and is used to build and index user profiles in a manner that facilitates retrieval in search results for relevant search criteria. A linguistic processing pipeline is used to parse and index the user's data to generate the complete and partial profiles organized by context. Complete and partial profiles are generated, indexed, ranked, and stored by the system.

  • Publication number: 20100293141
Abstract: The present invention provides a method that uses differential backup which is a key feature when uploading file for back up data from a client terminal to a server terminal. At the time of backup, only the changes from the client terminal side are sent back to the server terminal which saves the bandwidth and makes the process fast. While uploading, data is sent in the form of chunks of fixed size. In case any of the chunks could not be delivered on the server terminal, the same chunk is retransmitted from the client terminal.

  • Publication number: 20100179944
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and a system for retrieving and restoring data which is available on a local archival media but lost or not available at a computer terminal connectable to the said local archival media. A list of data available on a particular archival media and a list of data available at the computer terminal are compared and sorted appropriately to generate a list of lost data which are to be retrieved and restored from the local archival media. Once the list of lost data is generated, the list is checked to render the path and feasibility of retrieving and restoring the files. Finally, the files are retrieved by selecting path and location in computer terminal.

  • Publication number: 20080256147
Abstract: The present invention presents a method and a system of indexing, storing and retrieving data to and from multiple, remote and connected data sources over internet or intranet. Files are shredded into fixed number of strips using a defined pattern (shredding algorithm) and distributed randomly amongst the storage data sources (storage nodes). A unique index is maintained for each file and its strips along with corresponding storage nodes in a central file-storage database. On demand to retrieve a file, file-storage database is looked up for all relevant strips and storage nodes containing them. These file strips are then collected from all storage nodes and dressed back according to a defined anti-pattern (dressing algorithm) to the pattern used for shredding them. Failover control for storage nodes can be achieved by replicating each strip for a fixed number of storage nodes (replication factor).

  • Publication number: 20080221866
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer program products, for performing transliteration between text in different scripts. In one aspect, a method includes generating a transliteration model based on statistical information derived from parallel text having first text in an input script and corresponding second text in an output script; and using the transliteration model to transliterate input characters in the input script to output characters in the output script. In another aspect, a method includes performing word level transliterations. In another aspect, a method includes using an entry-aligned dictionary of source and target script pairs, in which, whenever a particular source word is mapped to multiple target words, the dictionary includes an entry for each target word including the same source word repeated in each entry. In another aspect, a method includes using phonetic scores of words in different scripts to identify corresponding parallel text.

  • Publication number: 20060143001
Abstract: In order to adapt comfort noise generation (CNG) parameters CNP, which are provided for generating a background noise signal in a telecommunications system 1 consisting of a packet-oriented telecommunications network 4 and at least a first and second communications device 2,3 connected thereto, firstly the CNG parameters CNP are generated in at least the first communications device 2 and transmitted, inserted in at least one silence insertion descriptor (SID) transmission frame SID via the packet-oriented telecommunications network 4 to the second communications device 3. The transmitted CNG parameters CNP are compared with a predetermined CNG parameter format CNPF and, if there is a deviation from the predetermined CNG parameter format CNPF, adapted to the predetermined CNG parameter format CNPF in that the individual CNG parameter CNP is removed and/or errored, absent or incompatible CNG parameters CNP are replaced by predetermined set CNG parameters SCNP.
