    Abstract: A connector assembly includes a plurality of receptacle modules configured to be received in corresponding module channels in a receptacle cage. Each receptacle module has a housing holding a contact assembly. The housing has a card slot at a front of the housing. The contact assembly has contacts terminated to ends of cables. The contacts have mating ends at the card slot to mate with a pluggable module received in the receptacle cage. The connector assembly includes an integrator having integrator walls forming a plurality of chambers. Each chamber receives the corresponding receptacle module. The connector assembly includes a latch coupled to the integrator. The latch configured to be latchably coupled to the receptacle cage.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes a conductive housing having a mating end and a mounting end mounted to a circuit board. The conductive housing provides electrical shielding around pockets and includes ground pads at the mounting end configured to be terminated to the circuit board. The electrical connector includes contact assemblies held by the conductive housing each having a contact holder holding at least one contact. The contact holder is received in the corresponding pocket of the conductive housing to position the at least one contact relative to the conductive housing. Each contact includes a mating end and a terminating end coupled to a signal pad of the circuit board. The conductive housing provides circumferential shielding around each contact assembly between the contact holder and the circuit board.

The receptacle assembly includes a thermal transport assembly coupled to the receptacle cage. The thermal transport assembly includes a thermal bridge is received in the cavity. The thermal bridge includes a thermal interface at a bottom of the thermal bridge configured to interface with the pluggable module and remove heat from the pluggable module. The thermal bridge includes an orientation tab extending from the bottom. The orientation tab defines a keying feature for keyed mating with the pluggable module to orient the pluggable module in the module channel.

An upper ground bus bar is electrically connected to terminating ends of the ground contacts of the upper contact set and a lower ground bus bar is electrically connected to the ground contacts of the lower contact set. A ground element is coupled to the upper ground bus bar or the lower ground bus bar and includes a board termination component configured to be terminated to the host circuit board to electrically connect the corresponding ground bus bar to the host circuit board.

    Abstract: A card edge connector assembly includes a card edge connector having a housing defining a card slot and holding contacts to electrically connect to a pluggable module and a host circuit board. The card edge connector assembly includes a plug guide having a main body including end walls and a side wall defining a cavity receiving the housing of the card edge connector and the pluggable module. The plug guide has first and second alignment channels receiving alignment posts of the pluggable module prior to the card slot receiving the pluggable module to guide mating of the pluggable module with the card edge connector. The plug guide has an exterior being received in a panel opening of a panel. The plug guide including a panel latching feature latchably securing the plug guide to the panel independent of the host circuit board and the card edge connector.
