  • Patent number: 11044855
Abstract: Embodiments include method, systems, and computer program products for felling a tree. The method includes scanning, using a processor, a tree and an environment within a predetermined radius around the tree. The processor calculates an approximate center of gravity (CoG) for the tree in response to the scanning of the tree. The processor further receives a desired tree fall direction. The processor further provides attachment locations on the tree for attaching one or more tree felling assistance devices. The processor further instructs each of the one or more tree felling assistance devices to apply a first force to the tree in which the first force applied by each of the one or more tree felling assistance devices in conjunction with one or more cuts applied to the tree, fells the tree.

  • Patent number: 10707759
Abstract: Systems and methods for boosting battery voltage with boost converters are provided. Aspects include coupling a discharge path of a battery to an input side of a power converter in a power supply, wherein the power supply comprises a rectifier and the power converter. A charge path of the battery is coupled to an output side of the power converter and a processor monitors an output voltage of the power converter. The processor also monitors an input voltage of the power converter and responsive to the output voltage of the power converter dropping below a threshold voltage, the processor enables the discharge path.

  • Patent number: 10700466
Abstract: A connector system that includes first and second connector components. The first connector component includes a female connector. The second connector component includes a male connector having blades for insertion into the female connector; an enclosure enclosing the male connector and having an open end wherein the blades of the male connector face the open end; a locked shield within the open end of the enclosure to obscure the blades and to prevent contact with the blades; and an actuator to unlock the locked shield. Upon insertion of the first connector component into the enclosure, the first connector component causes the actuator to unlock the locked shield and upon further insertion of the first connector component into the enclosure, the first connector component opens the unlocked shield away from the male connector to expose the blades and to allow the female connector to engage the blades of the male connector.
