  • Publication number: 20230329876
Abstract: A device including first plate configured to interface with a first bone structure of a joint; a second plate configured to interface with a second bone structure of the joint; and at least one mechanical actuation mechanism disposed between the first plate and the second plate and configured to apply a distraction force so as to urge the first and second plates away from one another, wherein the at least one mechanical actuation mechanism includes first and second actuation sub-mechanisms configured to provide first actuation and second sub-mechanism distraction forces that are antagonist to one another; wherein the device has a range of expansion ranging from a minimum distance to a maximum distance between the first plate and the second plate, and wherein the first actuation sub-mechanism distraction force and the second actuation sub-mechanism distraction force combine to provide the distraction force that is substantially constant.

  • Publication number: 20230172683
Abstract: A method includes accessing a three-dimensional representation of a surgical space and based on the three-dimensional representation, for each object in a first constellation of objects: extracting a first location of the object; detecting a first object type of the object; deriving a first surgical status of the object; calculating a first ranking score of the object based on the first object type and the first surgical status; and storing the first location, the first object type, the first surgical status, and the first ranking score in an object container in a set of object containers. The method also includes selecting a first target object at a first time based on a first target ranking score; articulating a mobile camera to locate a first target location of the first target object; and deriving a trajectory of the first target object based on the set of object containers.

  • Patent number: 9786442
Abstract: An energy storage device comprises a capacitor having a dielectric between opposite electrodes and a nonconductive coating between at least one electrode and the dielectric. The nonconductive coating allows for much higher voltages to be employed than in traditional EDLCs, which significantly increases energy stored in the capacitor. Viscosity of the dielectric material may be increased or decreased in a controlled manner, such as in response to an applied external stimulus, to control discharge and storage for extended periods of time.
