Abstract: A stabilizing attachment for use with a portable electronic device, such as a mobile phone, electronic tablet, camera or other such electronic device that may be used to obtain an image, may include an engagement element for holding a mobile phone, electronic tablet, camera or other portable electronic device. The engagement element may include a first member and a second member substantially parallel to one another for holding the portable electronic device. An adjustment element may enable adjustment of the first member relative to the second member to accommodate different sizes of mobile phones, electronic tablets, cameras or other portable electronic devices. The stabilizing attachment may also include a coupling element for securing the engagement element and any portable electronic device held thereby to another support, such as a tripod, a glass mountable device, a mobile unit or the like.
