  • Patent number: 11978935
Abstract: An apparatus/system for generating a high-purity nitrogen gas using a fuel cell includes; a fuel cell that operates by taking in air or a gas containing nitrogen and oxygen, and a fuel gas; a dehumidification mechanism that reduces moisture or water vapor content in an exhaust gas that is extracted from the fuel cell and has a lower oxygen concentration than air; and a filtering mechanism which includes a filter using fibers having different degrees of permeation for nitrogen and oxygen and converts the exhaust gas having a reduced moisture or water vapor content into a gas having an increased nitrogen concentration. The filter recovery ratio is higher when an oxygen concentration of a gas to be filtered is lower. The dehumidification mechanism is a pump unit including a water seal pump to provide an adiabatic expansion chamber in which the exhaust gas extracted from the fuel cell expands adiabatically.

  • Patent number: 6249817
Abstract: A user I/F unit 200 transmits an instruction given by a user to an access management unit 100 and displays data on a monitor 76. The access management unit 100 transfers requirements to a communication control unit 300 and a data management unit 400 in response to the instruction from the user, transfers data from a communications host to the data management unit 400, and outputs data from a database 410 to the user I/F unit 200. The data management unit 400 writes data into the database 410 and reads storage data from the database 410 in response to the requirement from the access management unit 100. Data transmitted from the communications host are sorted out according to communication services and stored in the database 410. The communication control unit 300 translates the requirement from the access management unit 100 to a menu number representing each communication service available from the communications host or a command and sends the translated requirement to a communication I/F unit 500.

  • Patent number: 5640158
Abstract: A method of reversible data compression is disclosed. The method is an improvement on the Lempel-Ziv data compression method that does not require a prefix for every noncompressed data unit in the encoded data stream. A code is inserted at the beginning of each string of consecutive noncompressed data bytes to indicate that the string is of noncompressed data and the number of bytes in the string. By eliminating the requirement for a separate prefix for each noncompressed data, a higher compression ratio is achieved over conventional Lempel-Ziv encoding methods.

  • Patent number: 4566250
Abstract: New method and apparatus for automatically producing a number of bag-shaped packages with a cap body integrally attached thereto and specific content filled at a high operational efficiency are disclosed. They are produced one by one using continuous thin flat film of synthetic resin as raw material by way of the steps of punching a cap body insert hole, inserting the cap body portion of the cap body into the punched hole, heat sealing it to the film, forming a tubular product, effecting longitudinal heat sealing, effecting transverse heat sealing of the lower end part of the tubular product to form a bag-shaped product, filling the latter with specific content, effecting transverse heat sealing of the upper end part of the content filled bag-shaped product and cutting off the latter along the center line extending between the adjacent products. Longitudinal heat sealing is generally effected while the film is displaced downward.

  • Patent number: 4183181
Abstract: A steel strip grinding machine for the continuous grinding of the upper and lower surfaces of steel strips includes a pair of vertically displaceable spindles into which the grinding rolls are journalled. One of the spindles is slidable axially whereas the other spindle is fixedly secured in the machine frame. The grinding rolls are thus removable through sliding of the axially slidable spindle without having to disassemble any bearings. The lower grinding roll is supportable on a lift truck mechanism for movement in and out of the machine frame whereby removal of such grinding roll for the lower surface of the steel strip can be effectuated without use of a crane. Further, a device for dressing the outer peripheral surface of the grinding roll is provided adjacently to the grinding roll. The grinding roll is made by spraying a thermosetting resin containing hone grains upon a nonwoven fabric in which filaments are entangled at random. Its shaft is formed to be hollow.
