    Abstract: A method for analyzing the moisture content of an oil includes the steps of providing an enclosed chamber sealed in a gas-tight fashion, placing the oil to be analyzed within the enclosed chamber, heating the enclosed chamber for causing the moisture in the oil to evaporate, measuring a parameter that varies depending upon the amount of water vapor generated by the evaporation of the moisture, and deriving a value representative of the moisture content of the oil on the basis of the measured parameter.

  • Device for indicating contamination degree of hydraulic circuit and method of judging the contamination degree

    Abstract: Two or more filters of different filtration particle size capabilities are arranged in a hydraulic circuit such that hydraulic oil containing contaminants is passed through the filters, either in series according to the order of the filtration particle size capability or in parallel. A sensor determines the pressure differential between the inlet and outlet of a respective filter, and a signal is provided to a contamination level indication device when the pressure differential between the inlet and outlet of a respective filter exceeds a predetermined level.
