  • Patent number: 6111373
Abstract: A power window apparatus for a vehicle, which can open or close a door window by manual operation of a power window switch for energizing either of window-opening and closing relays for rotating a motor in the forward or reverse direction or by automatic operation of the same switch to cause an auto-latching circuit or a control unit to maintain either of the relays in an energized state until the window becomes fully opened or closed. The apparatus is provided with a switch for deenergizing a coil of the window-closing relay by disconnecting the control circuit for latching the energized window-closing relay, thus enabling the opening of the window by manual switch operation whenever an abnormal operation of the auto-latch control system occurs with simultaneous energization of both the window-opening and closing relays in an accident such as the vehicle sinking into water.

  • Patent number: 6081085
Abstract: A power window apparatus for a vehicle, which has an emergency switch being capable of cutting off a power-window-closing control switch element conjointly with the operation of a switch for opening the power window and has a contactor sliding between normally closed contacts and normally open contacts provided in the form of electrode patterns on a printed circuit board, whereon electrodes extend over the contactor sliding area and a entire surface of the board except the contactor sliding area is covered with a coating of waterproof resin. The emergency switch can eliminate an abnormal simultaneous energization of both the window-opening and closing relays in an accident (such as the vehicle sinking into water) by maintaining the conducting state of the normally open contact even if the exposed portions of the electrode patterns are partly damaged by electrolysis of material.

  • Patent number: 5414231
Abstract: A switch device is proposed which includes a plurality of stationary contacts fixedly formed on an insulating substrate, a plurality of movable contacts capable of sliding on the insulating substrate for independently contacting with and separating from the stationary contacts, a common holder case fixed to the insulating substrate, and positioning member provided between the insulating substrate and the holder case for positioning the insulating substrate and the holder case relative to each other. The movable contacts are supported slidably so as to be brought into and out of contact with the stationary contact in a switching manner. Thus, the positioning of the movable contacts relative to the stationary contact is extremely easy, thereby providing an improved assembling efficiency.

  • Patent number: 4370210
Abstract: In continuously forming color display layer on the surface of the stainless steel strip, potential difference between the strip immersed in the oxidizing solution and a reference electrode is utilized for controlling the thickness, or color tone, of the color display layer, namely, the relationship between the thickness of the color display layer and the potential difference mentioned above is measured first, followed by continuously immersing a strip of the same kind in the oxidizing solution for forming a color display layer on the surface of the strip. The difference in thickness between the actually formed color display layer and a desired color display layer is converted into the difference in potential difference based on the above-noted relationship and the immersion time of the strip in the oxidizing solution is controlled on the basis of said difference in potential difference.
