  • Patent number: 6748631
Abstract: To provide a wrist mounting type electronic apparatus facilitating attachment and detachment thereof. The wrist mounting type electronic apparatus is constituted by a main body bent substantially in an L-like shape and straps comprising a hard material. An inserting portion is provided at a front end of the strap on one side and is inserted into an inserted portion of the pivotable strap on other side. The inserted portion is penetrated with a bar member which is engaged with a small diameter hole of the inserting portion. Thereby, the wrist mounting type electronic apparatus can be mounted to the wrist. A hinge of the strap is provided with a coil spring and a state of opening the strap relative to a cabinet of the main body is maintained so far as the strap is not engaged.

  • Publication number: 20020089193
Abstract: When a slide piece is fitted to a slide groove, the slide piece can be slid. When a latch is caught by recesses, a position of the slide piece in the slide groove is stabilized. Since the slide groove is provided with a plurality of the recesses at constant intervals, among the recesses, the recess at a most suitable position is selected and the latch is caught by the recess. The slide piece is integral with the inserting portion of a strap and therefore, the position of the slide piece is determined so as to adjust a length of the strap around the wrist. Further, the latch is only urged by a spring and the recess is not so deep as to engage the latch and therefore, when the slide piece is pushed or pulled by exerting force, the position of the slide piece can also be changed.

  • Patent number: 4964093
Abstract: In one form of the structure for preventing inadvertent opening of a cover lid of a water-proof watch, a protrusion formed on the cover lid is locked into a recess formed at a head of a lock button. A coil spring is attached to the lock button to bias the same to maintain the engagement between the recess of the lock button and the protrusion of the cover lid so as to prevent inaduertent opening or unlocking of the cover lid. In another form of the opening and closing mechanism of a cover lid, a rod member is provided with a water-tight sealing and a coil spring, and operates to apply a pressing force to a hinge portion of the cover lid to assist in closing of the cover lid, thereby realizing simplified water-tight structure of the opening and closing of the cover lid.
