  • Publication number: 20080027261
Abstract: The present invention provides a solid phosphoric acid catalyst which attains high activity and dimer selectivity in olefin dimerization reaction and an efficient method for dimerization of olefin using the same. The solid phosphoric acid catalyst comprises phosphoric acid supported on a siliceous carrier, the proportion of orthophosphoric acid in the phosphoric acid supported being 60 mol % or more in terms of phosphorus atom amount. The solid phosphoric acid catalyst is prepared by bringing a phosphoric acid aqueous solution into contact with the siliceous carrier followed by drying, the preparation step being carried out at a temperature lower than 100° C. Also provided is a method for bringing an olefin-containing raw material into contact with the catalyst.

  • Patent number: 6971927
Abstract: In a connector terminal into which a cooperating male contact terminal can be smoothly inserted and a movable contact strip can be prevented from being buckled while a desired contact pressure can be attained, a connecting portion 11 is formed into a substantially box shape by folding a bottom plate 13, side plates 14, 15 (14 is not shown) continuously extending from respective sides of the bottom plate and a top plate 16 continuously extending from one of the side plates. A movable contact strip 17 is formed by folding back the top plate 16 around a gently curved portion 17a into a resilient spring having an inverted triangular shape including a contact portion 17b near an inwardly bent middle portion of the movable contact strip 17. A hole 17c is formed at an end portion of the movable contact strip 17 into which an engagement tip 16b formed by folding a part of the top plate 16 inwardly is inserted.

  • Publication number: 20010022630
Abstract: A signal receiver for displaying received broadcast electric waves including: a first memory for storing as a past record information representing whether the signal receiver was previously subjected to initial setup, an alarm device for alarming the necessity of initial setup of the signal receiver when the connection of a power source plug to an external power source is detected and no past record exists in the first memory, whereby a user can surely perform the initial setup, a second memory for holding the initial setup frame displayed on the display device after a response to the alarm of said alarm device is received or at the same time when the alarm is made, a third memory for storing district codes and reception channel groups corresponding to the respective district codes as a district code comparative chart district, and a tuner with which when a district code is input on the initial setup frame, the reception channel group corresponding to the district code thus input is read out and a channel con

  • Patent number: 4926421
Abstract: In a mobile radio telephone system having multiple base stations controlled by a single line control unit, all base stations use a single common control channel in addition to their voice channels to communicate with a mobile station. If a calling signal from a mobile station is received by two or more base stations at once on the common control channel, the base station with the highest received signal level is selected. If voice signal quality becomes degraded during a call, the call is handed off to the base station with the highest received signal level.

  • Patent number: 4689639
Abstract: A thermal printer for transferring ink from an inked film onto paper using a thermal head includes an inked film feeding mechanism for feeding the inked film, a paper feeding mechanism for feeding the paper, and a platen located opposite the thermal head. For printing the thermal head is brought to the platen with a paper positioned between the thermal head and the platen by the paper feeding mechanism. A release mechanism for releasing the thermal head from the platen is provided. Also provided is a control apparatus which responds to the activation of the release mechanism to disable the film feeding mechanism, thereby stopping the feeding of the inked film at the time the thermal head is released from the platen. The control apparatus also operates to enable the paper feeding mechanism to feed the paper between the thermal head and platen when the thermal head is released from the platen.
