  • Patent number: 6625646
Abstract: A communications method, communications system, communications device, and server which confirm performance information of a receiver communications device without negotiating with the receiver communications device before sending data, and sends an image most suited to receiving capability of the receiver communications device. The sender reads out performance information of the receiver communications device stored typically in a server before sending data, and sends data after converting the format of data to be sent based on the performance information. The communications device communicates with the server and sends data in the form of electronic mail and TCP/IP communications. Since, image data is sent after converting its format to that best matched receiving capability of the receiver communications device, the receiver communications device can receive image data best suited to its performance.

  • Patent number: 5892590
Abstract: A corrected data generator for an image taking device includes a training plate having a reference pattern. A memory stores predetermined image information corresponding to the reference pattern on the training plate. A photoelectric section converts a light signal into a corresponding electric signal. Corrective information is generated in response to an electric signal of the reference pattern which is outputted from the photoelectric section, and in response to the image information stored in the memory. An electric signal of an object which is outputted from the photoelectric section is corrected in response to the corrective information.

  • Patent number: 5522055
Abstract: An electronic file system includes a recording-medium drive for driving one of a first recording medium and a second recording medium, a terminal device outputting access requirements, and a carrier mechanism for setting one of the first recording medium and the second recording medium into the recording-medium drive in response to an access requirement outputted from the terminal device. The electronic file system also includes a controller connected between the terminal device and the carrier mechanism for processing access requirements outputted from the terminal device to reduce a number of times of setting operation of the carrier mechanism. The controller is arranged so that while a first page of read-out data is being indicated by the terminal devices subsequent pages are pre-read and stored in a short term, fast memory designated for this purpose.
