  • Patent number: 5585562
Abstract: A vibration-sensing gyro composed of a light alloy such as duralumin includes a base and a first pair of tines projecting parallel to each other from the base. Piezoelectric elements are mounted on the root of the side faces of the first pair of tines to excite the first pair of tines along an X axis. The vibrations of the first pair of tines along the X axis are then propagated to a second pair of tines to vibrate the second pair of tines along the X axis. Piezoelectric elements are mounted on the root of the upper and the lower faces of the second pair of tines to detect vibrations of the second pair of tines along an Y axis. When the second pair of tines receives the Coriolis force based on an angular velocity .omega. around a Z axis and vibrates along the Y axis, the vibrations along the Y axis are detected as electric signals (alternating current voltages) by piezoelectric effects of the piezoelectric elements.

  • Patent number: 5429848
Abstract: Disclosed are a process for producing a tubular nonwoven fabric and tubular nonwoven fabrics produced by the same. In the process, a web is formed on a first rotating cylinder by catching fibers carried to the surface of the first rotating cylinder by a fluid, the web is transferred to a second rotating cylinder, a tube of the transferred web is formed on and around the second rotating cylinder, and the tube is drawn in the axial direction of the second rotating cylinder to form a tubular nonwoven fabric. The tubular nonwoven fabric with a high unit weight can be produced without elongating or breaking the nonwoven fabric, and the diameter of the tubular nonwoven fabric can be freely changed.

  • Patent number: 5369396
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting a liquid level includes a warning device for warning a low liquid level, and a regulator for controlling power supply to the warning device from a power source. The regulator comprises a switch for switching its condition in accordance with the liquid level. The ON condition of the switch indicates that the present liquid level is lower than a predetermined liquid level. The regulator further comprises a thermistor connected to the switch in series. The thermistor has a characteristic of decreasing the resistance value thereof, when a predetermined delay period of time as a function of atmospheric temperature has elapsed since the start of applying the voltage on the thermistor, synchronizing with turning the switch on. The low resistance value of the thermistor allows the power for activating the warning device to be supplied to its device, while the switch is turned on.

  • Patent number: 5252158
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel method and apparatus for producing nonwoven fabrics. Generally, in production of nonwoven fabrics, in order to obtain a nonwoven fabric with a wide width, it has been impossible to obtain a uniform nonwoven fabric unless a large number of spinnerets ejecting fibers are installed in the width direction of the nonwoven fabric. The present invention relates to a novel method and apparatus for producing nonwoven fabrics capable of easily increasing the width of the fabric even when only few spinnerets are used.

  • Patent number: 4390572
Abstract: A fur-like synthetic sheet material is provided with numerous superfine synthetic pile fibers having fineness or thickness of about 0.0001 to 0.4 denier. The pile fibers, which are comparatively long, have crimps and are formed into bundle groups, while the crimps of the pile fibers are substantially in phase within each bundle.
