  • Patent number: 6055500
Abstract: A voice recording/reproducing apparatus including a first recording device for recording voice data converted into a digital signal in a solid-state memory. A data read device reads out the voice data which is written in the solid-state memory by the first recording device. A D/A conversion device converts the voice data which is read out from the solid-state memory by the data read device into an analog voice signal. A second recording device records the analog voice signal output from the D/A conversion device on a tape-like recording medium. A reproduction device reproduces the analog voice signal which is recorded on the tape-like recording medium by the second recording device. An output switching device switches between the analog voice signal output by the D/A conversion device and the analog voice signal reproduced by the reproduction device, and outputs a selected one of the analog voice signals.

  • Patent number: 5903871
Abstract: A voice recording and/or reproducing apparatus has a memory for storing information unique to a user and/or information unique to the apparatus. When recording a voice file, the unique information is recorded in index information. Preferably, a unique file number is also recorded. In order that a voice file can be recognized by a personal computer or other information apparatus, a predetermined identifier consisting of one to three characters is added to the name of the voice file. When reproducing, a voice file having a name including the predetermined identifier consisting of one to three characters is selected and reproduced.

  • Patent number: 5774863
Abstract: A speech information recording/reproduction apparatus includes a CPU for recording digital speech data, into which a speech signal is converted, in a rewritable solid memory, a partial erasing switch for erasing the speech data recorded in the solid memory, and a reproduction switch for setting an erasing range of the speech data from the solid memory. The CPU delays execution of erasure for several seconds after the erasing range is set, and predetermined information about the execution of erasure is displayed by an LCD and an LED for these several seconds. The CPU does not erase the speech data from the solid memory when a reset switch is operated to cancel the execution of erasure during the display of the information, but erases it after the information is displayed when the reset switch is not operated during the display.

  • Patent number: 5510924
Abstract: A voice information transfer system transfers voice information in a form of an optical signal from a first voice information processing apparatus to a second voice information processing apparatus. The first apparatus includes a transfer enable signal reception unit for receiving a transfer enable signal for enabling transfer of the voice information from the second apparatus in a noncontact state, and a voice information transmission unit for transmitting the voice information converted into the optical signal to the second apparatus when the transfer enable signal reception unit receives the transfer enable signal from the second apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4700376
Abstract: An automatic telephone answering apparatus includes tape recorder sections for outputting a speech message through a telephone line, and for recording and reproducing a speech signal through the telephone line, a controller for setting the tape recorder sections in predetermined modes, and a decoder for decoding a remote control signal received through the telephone line and supplying a decoded remote control signal to the controller. A muting circuit between a telephone line interface and the tape recorder sections blocks remote control signals from being recorded, in response to a timing signal generated by a DTMF receiver in the decoder.

  • Patent number: 4488186
Abstract: An auto-reverse type tape recorder for a cassette having a side A and side B in which a side A playback mode, side B playback mode, side A fast mode and side B fast mode can be directly designated at an operation-designating section irrespective of the direction in which the cassette is loaded into the tape recorder. The operation-designating section has operation members for designating the side A playback mode, side B playback mode, side A fast mode and side B fast mode. The tape recorder further includes a cassette loading direction detector responsive to a side-discriminating portion, such as a cutout or recess, provided on a predetermined side of the cassette and a switch circuit responsive to the side-discriminating portion to switch a connection between the output terminals of the operation-designating section and the control input terminals of a motor control circuit.

  • Patent number: 4446493
Abstract: Disclosed is a variable frequency-response equalizer which includes an amplifying circuit having a predetermined equalizing frequency characteristic, a time constant changing circuit for changing a time constant regarding the high frequency response of a playback output signal produced from the amplifying circuit, and a level sensor for determining a change of the time constant caused by the time constant changing circuit according to the level of the signal amplified by the amplifying circuit. The magnitude of the time constant is reduced when the level of the signal amplified becomes lower than a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 4267515
Abstract: This invention relates to a distortion factor meter circuit adapted to measure a harmonic distortion factor of a signal, particularly. A first transmission line is provided which is adapted to shape a first signal having a harmonic component to produce a DC signal, to convert the DC signal into a square wave having a width proportional to the level of the input DC signal and a predetermined periodicity, and thereafter to produce a triangular wave signal having a level linearly increasing from a zero level during the existence of the level of the input square wave signal and linearly decreasing immediately after the level of the square wave signal disappears. A second transmission line is also provided which is adapted to produce a second signal having a residual harmonic component left by eliminating a fundamental from the first signal.
