  • Patent number: 9349375
Abstract: According to an embodiment, a signal processing apparatus includes an estimation unit and an updating unit. The estimation unit is configured to estimate an auxiliary variable of a target section including first and second sections of input signals by using an approximating auxiliary function for approximating an auxiliary function having an auxiliary variable as an argument. The auxiliary function is determined according to an objective function that outputs a function value that is smaller as a statistical independence of separated signals into which input signals in time-series are separated by a demixing matrix is higher. The estimation unit is configured to estimate a value of the auxiliary variable of the target section based on the estimated auxiliary variable. The updating unit is configured to update the demixing matrix such that a function value of the approximating auxiliary function is minimized.

  • Publication number: 20110058685
Abstract: The present invention obtains a separated signal from an audio signal based on the anisotropy of smoothness of spectral elements in the time-frequency domain. A spectrogram of the audio signal is assumed to be a sum of a plurality of sub-spectrograms, and smoothness of spectral elements of each sub-spectrogram in the time-frequency domain has directionality on the time-frequency plane. The method comprises obtaining a distribution coefficient for distributing spectral elements of said audio signal in the time-frequency domain to at least one sub-spectrogram based on the directionality of the smoothness of each sub-spectrogram on the time-frequency plane, and separating at least one sub-spectrogram from said spectral elements of said audio signal using said distribution coefficient.

  • Patent number: 7888840
Abstract: A microphone that identifies the direction along which acoustic waves propagate with one diaphragm, and has superior durability is provided. The microphone includes a circular diaphragm supported at a center portion thereof. When the diaphragm receives acoustic waves, each position around the center thereof will vibrate with a phase depending upon the direction of the acoustic waves. First electrodes are arranged on one surface of the diaphragm and second electrodes are arranged facing corresponding first electrodes to form a first capacitor. Third electrodes are arranged on the other surface of the diaphragm and fourth electrodes are arranged facing corresponding third electrodes to form a second capacitor. A controller applies a voltage to the second capacitors so that the capacitance of the first capacitors will be constant and identifies the direction along which the acoustic waves propagate based on the difference in the voltages applied to each of the second capacitors.

  • Patent number: 5411217
Abstract: A compressible bobbin for yarn treatment having a cylindrical framework made of a synthetic resin. The bobbin includes upper and lower end rings, circumferentially equidistantly disposed vertical frames and annular horizontal frames disposed equidistantly between the end rings. Both sides of the horizontal frames and one side of the end rings are provided with vertically upstanding piece members for regulating the degree of compression of the bobbin and acting as a stopper when compressed. The vertically upstanding piece members have each a height of one half of the interval between adjacent horizontal frames and are alternately arranged every two horizontal frames to form multiple columns. When compressed, the vertically upstanding piece members of each column abut to each intervening horizontal frame and on both sides thereof in an opposing manner.

  • Patent number: 5105602
Abstract: An automatic wrapping apparatus of cylindrical articles, particularly plastic bobbins. The apparatus includes feed rollers for feeding two wrapping sheets therebetween in opposed manner to form a bottom portion for a wrapping bag. A loading device is provided for loading bobbins onto the bottom portion by holding each unit of regularly arranged bobbins and dropping it in an orderly state. A support member is provided for supporting the bobbins unit by unit from underneath and causing the bobbin unit whenever dropped to descend by the bobin height, thus stacking bobbin units one upon another. A basket-like retainer is provided for receiving the bobbin units descending with stacking to retain them in the place so as to keep the orderly state. A heat sealer is provided for uniting the bottom portion and a top margin of the wrapping bag. A side heat sealer is provided for uniting both sides of the bag.

  • Patent number: 4720057
Abstract: A press bobbin for yarn treatment formed of a cylindrical wall which is fabricated by blow molding of a synthetic plastic and comprises relatively thin-gage zones and relatively thick-gage zones extending circumferentially and alternately arranged in the axial direction of the bobbin. The cylindrical wall defines an indentation configuration along the axial direction wherein the thin-gage zones correspond to projecting portions and the thick-gage zones to recessed portions. The thick-gage zones are defined with holes for passage of liquid and the thin-gage zones are, when pressed axially, bendable in a U-form to protrude outwardly, thereby to be axially compressible. The relatively thick-gage zones may be provided with reinforcing members which serve to suppress compression of the bobbin.

  • Patent number: 4270710
Abstract: A resiliently compressible bobbin comprising two end rings disposed opposite to one another in a spaced relationship, a plurality of transverse ring frames distributed equidistantly between and in parallel with the end rings and a plurality of straight longitudinal frames interconnecting the end rings and distributed equidistantly around the periphery of the bobbin. The longitudinal frames each have a thickness gradient decreasing radially outwardly, are flush with the end ring's inner and outer peripheral surfaces and are constructed so that portions on opposite sides of a transverse ring frame are gradually increased in thickness toward the transverse ring frame in the same direction, but in opposite directions relative to the portions on opposite sides of the adjacently disposed transverse ring frame, the midportion between transverse ring frames being narrowed.

  • Patent number: 4056860
Abstract: Yarns spun by a fine spinning frame are rewound from the spun cops directly into cheeses on compressible bobbins which are contractable in the axial and radial directions. The bobbins with cheese thus wound up are piled one upon another on spindles of a carrier without interposing any spacer therebetween and compressed in the axial direction so that both ends of every bobbin come in the same planes with both ends of respective cheese. By dyeing the cheeses in this condition by a usual cheese dyeing method, a uniform dyeing without any dyeing unevenness can be effected in a greatly simplified process.
