    Abstract: A liquid ejection apparatus which is provided with a body thereof, a liquid ejector having a nozzle, and a liquid feed pipe, disposes an optical fiber along the liquid feed pipe, so that an optical signal is transmitted from a light emitting element to a light receiving element via the optical fiber. The liquid ejector is provided with a control unit for controlling transmission and cut off of the optical signal, thereby enabling remote control from the liquid ejector of operating equipments provided at the apparatus body.
