  • Patent number: 9309383
Abstract: A composition for injection molding includes: an inorganic powder composed of at least one of a metal material and a ceramic material; and a binder containing a polyacetal-based resin, an unsaturated glycidyl group-containing polymer, and a lubricant. In the composition, the unsaturated glycidyl group-containing polymer is contained in an amount of 1% by mass or more and 30% by mass or less with respect to the amount of the polyacetal-based resin.

  • Patent number: 9045632
Abstract: A method for producing a composition for injection molding which contains an inorganic powder composed of at least one of a metal material and a ceramic material and a binder containing a polyacetal-based resin and a glycidyl group-containing polymer. The method includes: cryogenically grinding a first resin containing the polyacetal-based resin as a main component; cryogenically grinding a second resin containing the glycidyl group-containing polymer as a main component; mixing a powder obtained by grinding the first resin, a powder obtained by grinding the second resin, and the inorganic powder, thereby obtaining a mixed powder; and kneading the mixed powder.

  • Patent number: 7993576
Abstract: A method for producing a sintered body includes: a) molding a composition containing a powder primarily made of an inorganic material and a binder including an aliphatic carbonic acid ester based resin in a predetermined shape so as to obtain a compact; b) exposing the compact to a first atmosphere containing an alkaline gas and thus decomposing and removing the aliphatic carbonic acid ester based resin from the compact so as to obtain a degreased body; and c) sintering the degreased body so as to obtain a sintered body.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 14, 2008
Date of Patent: August 9, 2011
    Assignee: Seiko Epson Corporation
    Inventors: Masaaki Sakata, Nobuyuki Hamakura
  • Publication number: 20080227906
Abstract: A composition for forming a compact includes a powder mainly composed of an inorganic material, a first resin being decomposable by an action of an alkaline gas, and a binder including the first resin. The first resin is decomposed and removed from the compact formed by molding the composition for forming a compact by exposing the compact to a first atmosphere containing an alkaline gas so as to obtain a degreased body.
