  • Publication number: 20070223544
Abstract: This laser processing apparatus includes an amp fiber, a seed laser oscillating unit, a fiber core exciting unit, a laser emitting unit, a controlling unit, a light sensor, etc. A Q-switched pulse seed laser beam from the seed oscillating unit enters into one end surface of the amp fiber, and a continuously oscillated core excitation light from the fiber core exciting unit 14 enters into the other end surface. The seed laser beam is amplified in the activated core during the propagation through the amp fiber and comes out as a high-power processing laser beam from the other end surface of the amp fiber. The light sensor 64 feeds back the laser power of the processing laser beam to the seed laser oscillating unit.

  • Patent number: 6450365
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a magnetic holder for paper clips or other magnetizable items having a plurality of adjacent magnets arranged along a longitudinal direction such that magnetic fields either in the respective magnets and/or emanating therefrom are oriented in mutually opposite directions. Thus, magnetic lines of force within the respective fields point in mutually opposite direction with the magnetizable items (which are magnetically neutral) being thereby attracted by greater force than when magnets are arranged with magnetic force lines all pointing in the same direction. At the same time, the magnets can be additionally arranged such that one of the magnets adjacent a longitudinal end possesses greater magnetic strength than the other of the magnets, so that the magnetic lines of force are stronger at this longitudinal end and thereby attract the magnetizable items such as gem clips towards the longitudinal end.

  • Patent number: 6353309
Abstract: The present invention provides a switching circuit and an electronic switching component having a switching semiconductor device to perform switching between a conducting state and a non-conducting state of a conducting path to thereby reduce the power loss thereof and a control method thereof. In the present invention, at least two FETs 11 and 12, wherein the FET 11 has a faster switching time and the FET 12 has a lower ON resistance. Active terminals (drains and sources) of the FETs 11 and 12 are connected to each other in parallel. By employing these FETs 11 and 12, the conversion between an ON-state and an OFF-state of the conducting path is performed. In converting from the non-conducting state to the conducting state, the control circuit 13 first turns on the FET 11 and then turns on the FET 12 when if a voltage between terminals of the FET 11 reaches around a saturation value thereof.

  • Patent number: 6340454
Abstract: An &agr;-lithium aluminate obtained through a solid-phase reaction of a &ggr;-alumina and a lithium compound, wherein said &agr;-lithium aluminate comprises particles having a round shape, with a BET specific surface area in the range of 4-7 m2/g, and substantially not including &ggr;-lithium aluminate. Further, said &agr;-lithium aluminate is manufactured by dry-mixing a &ggr;-alumina having a BET specific surface area in the range of 70-140 m2/g and a lithium compound, and then baking and reacting said compound in solid-phase.

  • Patent number: 6290928
Abstract: &ggr;-type lithium aluminate, a particle of which has a BET specific surface area in a range of from 1 to 15 m2/g and a synthesized degree (P) of not less than 80% is disclosed. The synthesized degree (P) is defined by the equation, (I2/I1)×100, wherein I1 and I2 represent diffraction intensity in the X-ray diffraction spectral analysis of &ggr;-type lithium aluminate and I1 represents the height of a (101) peak, I2 represents the height of a (200) peak. The &ggr;-type lithium aluminate of the present invention exhibits excellent heat stability and chemical stability in a molten carbonate when used for an electrolyte-retainer plate of MCFC.
