The embedded codes and translation keys are created simultaneously with the data set. The codes are imported along with the data by the retrieval system being tested, and then compared to the expected values based on the translation keys.

  • Method and apparatus for testing a graphic control area

    Abstract: A method and system for automated testing of a graphic control area, such as a toolbar, displayed by an application, by randomly clicking on the graphic control area. The location of the graphic control area in the application window is identified to a test program by specifying the position of a reference line passing through graphic control area. The test program randomly chooses a test point on the reference line and clicks at the test point to trigger the response of the application under test.
