  • Publication number: 20100053748
Abstract: Thin high-density fabrics are particularly suitable for super wide-angle rear projections that are accurate in every detail. Based on said recognition, the invention relates to a rear projection fabric (20, 30) that comprises a number of threads (21, 23, 31, 33) and has a density of more than seven threads per millimeter, the maximum diameter of a thread being less than 0.06 mm. The invention further relates to a rear projection screen (10) which comprises such a rear projection fabric (20, 30) and can create a wide-angle rear projection image (41) that is particularly accurate in every detail. More particularly, such a rear projection screen (10) makes it possible to create a relatively inexpensive rear projection system (40) which can be designed by means of the standard power of a projector (43), e.g. in the form of a beamer or laser.

  • Publication number: 20090197043
Abstract: In a sheet with openings which is designed to receive a printed pattern on one of its surfaces, a fabric woven from crossed threads, more particularly synthetic filaments, has different coloring on each surface with the printed pattern on the lighter surface. More particularly the woven fabric is a monofilament or multifilament synthetic woven fabric which either is made of black threads or is dyed black and is colored white on one surface. The threads are crimped at the same level and the lighter surface has a high degree of whiteness.
