  • Patent number: 5379287
Abstract: An apparatus (1) for playing a disc-shaped record carrier (2) having a central positioning hole (6) has a turntable (10) which comprises a positioning member (20) which is engageable in the positioning hole (6) and in which a pressure device 130) is arranged, the positioning member (20) having an annular recess (32) and the pressure device (30) comprising a coil spring (33) having turns (34) which project radially from the recess (32) to cooperate with a record carrier (2). The maximum height (H) of the recess (32) is smaller than the outer diameter (D) of the coil spring (33) in its no-load condition before it is mounted in the recess (32), and in the recess (32) the turns (34) of the coil spring (33) are held in an operational inclination condition (B) which is less steep than their comparatively steep no-load inclination condition (A). • Patent number: 5159482
Abstract: In a coil arrangement which is provided for use in an optical scanner and which has a supportlessly wound first coil (1), to the circumference of which there is attached at least one second coil (4), the axis (7) of the second coil thereby running essentially perpendicular to the circumference of the first coil, it is provided that a plastic jacket (9) is injection-moulded around the circumference of the first coil and that, in the plastic jacket, on the outside in relation to the first coil, at least one coil chamber (10, 11) is formed, which in its cross-section is designed in the form of a channel, at least in certain sections, and in which the second coil is accommodated.

  • Patent number: 5124972
Abstract: In an apparatus (1) for scanning an information-carrier disc (2) a scanning device (10) which is movable in a radial direction of the disc (2) is connected to a gear rack (16) which extends in the radial direction (11). The gear rack (16) can be driven via a gear mechanism (16) comprising a worm wheel (21), which is rotatable about a shaft (23) which is inclined relative to the plane of the disc (2), and a supporting member (27) which is coaxially connected to the worm wheel and which has a conical surface (26) provided with a spiral ridge (28) whose cross-sectional shape corresponds to the flank geometry of the gear rack (16) to drive the gear rack (16) (FIG. 1).

  • Patent number: 5025371
Abstract: A slide (19) is driven by a gear mechanism (21) to position a scanning device (15) in a radial direction relative to the record carrier between an innermost track 3) and an outermost track (4), a stop (38) of the slide (19) abutting against a fixed stop (39) on the apparatus when the scanning device (15) is positioned at the outermost track (4). The gear mechanism (21) comprises a pinion (24) driven by a motor (20) and two gear racks (26, 27) which are tensioned relative to one another by a spring (25) and driven by the pinion, one of the gear racks (27) being fixed to the slide (19). When the slide (19) abuts against the fixed stop (39) the gear rack (27) is not in mesh with the pinion (24) and at least one end tooth (40) of the other gear rack (26) is situated in a range where it can mesh with the pinion (24).

  • Patent number: 4725152
Abstract: A capstan or pressure roller shaft is journalled in a single one-piece elongated bearing member having a bearing surface sufficient to define radial position and inclination of the shaft. The bearing member is aligned with respect to a mounting support on the tape recorder, to adjust shaft alignment, by two axially spaced cylindrical positioning surfaces which are received in axially spaced cylindrical receiving surfaces in the support. At least one of the positioning surfaces is eccentric with respect to the bearing member, and is fixed to the bearing member so that rotation of the bearing member about an axis defined by the receiving surfaces adjusts the inclination of the shaft. The shaft inclination may be adjusted by inserting a tool into the tape recorder, engaging a journal formed in a mounting support adjacent the bearing member, the tool having a gear which engages a toothed portion on the bearing member for rotating the bearing member about the support axis defined by the support receiving surfaces.
