  • Publication number: 20220388403
Abstract: A vehicle includes a drive motor with electrically upstream electric converter, a drive controller generating converter control signals actuating the converter for driving and normal braking operation, and an immobilizer electrically connected between the converter and the drive controller preventing converter control signals which would produce a driving operation of the drive motor from being forwarded to the converter when the vehicle is stopped, in particular at a stop. An alternate regulating device and a monitoring device allow activation of a special braking mode in the presence of an emergency braking command and in the event of which the drive controller is deactivated or at least signal flows of converter control signals of the drive controller to the immobilizer are interrupted, the immobilizer is activated, and converter control signals producing braking operation of the drive motor are transmitted to the converter through the immobilizer by the alternate regulating device.

  • Patent number: 9851221
Abstract: A Hall sensor includes a first Hall element pair configured to provide a first measurement signal, a second Hall element pair configured to provide a second measurement signal, and a third Hall element pair configured to provide a third measurement signal. Each element in the third Hall element pair is arranged between Hall elements of the first Hall element pair and Hall elements of the second Hall element pair. The Hall element pairs are configured to be actuated such that the first, second, and third measurement signals can be combined into one aggregate measurement signal which corrects an error in an angle of rotation determination caused by an external magnetic field.

  • Patent number: 9134379
Abstract: A method for functionally checking a vacuum switch of a traction inverter having a grid-side four-quadrant chopper and a load-side pulse inverter electrically connected in parallel on the DC side by a DC intermediate circuit. The AC side of the chopper is connected to a secondary winding of a traction transformer, with the primary winding of the traction transformer connectable to an AC grid voltage by a vacuum switch. When the vacuum switch is open, the chopper is actuated precisely when the AC grid voltage is temporally located relative to the chopper input voltage, such that the amplitude of a voltage difference between the AC grid voltage and the chopper input voltage corresponds to a predetermined test voltage. It is then checked whether current flows from the AC supply grid to the chopper. The functionality of the vacuum switch can thus be checked at any time without a test device.

  • Patent number: 7681739
Abstract: A filter device includes a filter housing (10), a filter inlet (12), a filter outlet (14), and a filter element (16). The filter element divides a filter area (18) into two partial areas (20, 22). One partial filter areas is conical in form with the cross-section of that partial area (20) being tapered from the filter inlet (12) to the filter outlet (14). The partial areas are separated from each other by the filter element. This arrangement results in an optimum residence time distribution inside the filter device at a uniform flow rate, which is particularly useful for highly viscous fluids such as polymer melts or similar.

  • Patent number: 6836963
Abstract: A process for production of conical filter elements, in particular slotted tube filter elements, includes forming a support structure of a plurality of support rods around which is wound at least one wire profile in individual turns. Slots are left clear in the wire profile through which a fluid may pass. The wire profile is, at least in part, rigidly connected to the support rods and is enclosed in a screen grid. The screen grid, at least in part, rests against the wire profile, follows to the same extent the conical path of the filter element, and is provided on its ends with end components. Since the conical screen grid is in the form of a one-piece pull-on part fitted on the support structure and since the pull-on part is designed to be longer than the support structure, after the screen grid has been pulled onto the support structure, at least one projecting length of the screen grid may be separated for precision fitting and is connected to the respective end component of the filter element.

  • Patent number: 6746042
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of producing a vehicle interior lining, especially a dashboard having a carrier part and, attached to the carrier part, a gas bag module containing a gas bag carrier and a gas bag that has a folded package section. The gas bag, together with its package section, is placed into a gas bag receptacle that is formed on the gas bag carrier and that has an outlet opening for the gas bag. The outlet opening is at least partially closed in the area of the package section by a rigid part. An outside surface of the carrier part is foam-encapsulated with a plastic layer in a state in which the gas bag module is connected to the carrier part. Moreover, the invention relates to a vehicle interior lining.

  • Patent number: 6726615
Abstract: A method of folding a gas bag for a vehicle occupant restraint system is disclosed, this gas bag having a wall delimiting a chamber and having an inflation opening, the inflation opening having a rim. The method comprises the following steps: First, the gas bag is spread out on a base. Then, the rim of the inflation opening of the gas bag is held fixed. Thereafter, a plate is arranged parallel to the base and at a distance therefrom, so that the gas bag extends between the base and the plate. Subsequently, the chamber of the gas bag is exposed to a pressurized medium, so that the gas bag unfolds between the base and the plate. Finally, the wall of the gas bag is pressed inwards at a plurality of sites distributed over a circumference of the gas bag. Further, a gas bag folded by performing this method and a device for performing the method are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6604928
Abstract: A filtering device for a spinning head for producing plastic threads. The spinning head has a housing in which the plastic melt flows through a filter element under pressure before exiting the spinnerets. The filter element is provided with a filtering material that is subjected to an axial contact pressure through a distributor device, according to the degree of pressure of the melt. This contact pressure acts upon the sealing edges of the filter element to close the sealing gaps. The special geometrical configuration of the filter element and/or its elasticity guarantee advantageous filtering in terms of energy. The filtering system is resistant to pressure and provides good, permanent sealing.

  • Patent number: 6579348
Abstract: A method for producing a sealing connection between a filter mat of a tubular filter element and a metallic head piece encircling the filter element at one end. The head piece has an annular groove accommodating the edge of the filter mat. In order to reduce the internal diameter of the annular groove, the wall adjacent to the periphery is compressed by the periphery of the head piece towards the interior by applying a force of pressure which is directed radially towards the interior. The wall of the annular groove adjacent to the periphery is provided with an enlargement which enlarges the diameter of the head piece. The force of pressure for compressing the wall is applied in the area of said enlargement.
