  • Publication number: 20230384094
Abstract: Various laser level designs including an improved core structure are shown. In one example, the laser level includes housing, a core structure, and a laser generator positioned within the cores structure and/or the housing. The core structure further includes a plurality of leveling pins allowing for leveling in one or more directions and one or more pin retainers coupled to and extending between the leveling pins.

  • Publication number: 20220316879
Abstract: Various laser level designs including the ability to physically/mechanically mask light emitted from the laser level are shown. In one example, the laser level includes physical barriers that can be moved between open and closed positions to selectively block or mask a desired portion of the projected laser plane.

  • Publication number: 20220316874
Abstract: A laser level assembly is provided. Various methods of managing communications between laser levels and detectors are provided. In one or more methods, upon receiving a selection of a communication channel the laser level emits a laser with certain characteristics, such as by adjusting the rotation speed, rotational direction, and/or emitting the laser in a repeating on/off pattern.

  • Patent number: 10476497
Abstract: Method and device for safe switching of a signal between a first and second point. Device includes a first branch having a first switch and second switch arranged between the first and second point, and a parallel second branch having a third switch and fourth switch. A testing device instructs a control unit, in a test sequence, to open the first switch for a first period of time, open the second switch for a second period of time, open the third switch for a third period of time, and open the fourth switch for a fourth period of time. Neither the first nor second periods of time overlap with the third or fourth period of time. A testing unit tests functioning of the switches during respective period of time, and generates an error signal in the event of a malfunction of at least one switch.

  • Patent number: 6255603
Abstract: A drying scale is provided that contains a housing, a weighing system, a scale pan, a carriage, and a radiating source. The weighing system is disposed within the housing for weighing a sample, and a scale pan is operably supported by the weighing system and contains the sample to be weighed. The carriage moves between a loading position, and a radiating source is disposed within said carriage. The carriage exposes the scale pan when said carriage is in the loading position and moves the radiating source over at least part of the scale pan such that the radiates heat and dries the sample when the carriage is in the drying position. Also, the weighing system and the scale pan are fixedly disposed with respect to the housing, and the carriage and the radiating source move relative to the housing between the loading position and the drying position. In addition, a method performed by the drying scale is also provided.

  • Patent number: 5056320
Abstract: A coolant recooler (1) partially filled with a cooling fluid is cooled, in a first process step, to such a low temperature that the thus-produced and stored amount of cold is sufficient for cooling, in a subsequent process step, the coolant of a heat-producing, water-cooled apparatus (4) to be connected, during its operating period. The coolant recooler (1) is movable and connectible, for cooling purposes, to the coolant circuit of the apparatus (4). During the cooling operation, no active refrigerating machine (3) is in operation. After termination of the cooling operation, the coolant recooler (1) is uncoupled from the apparatus (4), transported away, and subsequently its cooling fluid is recooled. The amount of cold still available in each particular case is indicated by a display.

  • Patent number: 4336456
Abstract: A device for the sterilization of liquids by means of ultraviolet radiation whereby a low-pressure high-current mercury vapor lamp is used with a discharge tube as the radiation source wherein the cooling of the lamp is effected by means of an air flow circulating in the device and adjustment of the mercury vapor pressure by heating the cooled air in a heating device and the heating of a cecum-shaped piece of tubing with this heated air. In order to reduce the energy consumption during this heating phase, a mechanism is provided in the device in order to lead a first portion of the cooled air flow directly to the discharge tube of the lamp. A second portion of the cooled air flow, which is smaller in comparison with the first portion, is heated by the heating device and led to the cecum.
