  • Publication number: 20200026089
Abstract: By arranging cables, which transmit video signals to a pair of video image display elements arranged on the right side and the left side, along a frame for supporting a pair of right and left light guiding devices, it is possible to concentrate the cables on one of the right and left sides. That is, it is possible to integrally form the cables. By accommodating the cables in a cable cover portion, which extends along the frame, in a cover inside, it is possible to suppress an increase in size which accompanies cable arrangement and to implement the apparatus as a whole in a small body.

  • Patent number: 10502957
Abstract: In relation to a fourth surface as a partially covered optical surface from among a plurality of optical surfaces which configure a light guiding member in a light guiding device, such as a first surface, an intermediate image is formed at a location separated from the partially covered optical surface (fourth surface). With such a configuration, it is possible to reduce the influence of dirt, contamination, or the like on an image even if the dirt, the contamination, or the like are generated on the partially covered optical surface (fourth surface), from which it is difficult or impossible to remove the dirt, the contamination, or the like, and to display an image with a wide image angle by a configuration forming an intermediate image.

  • Patent number: 10281727
Abstract: A limiting part limits displacement of an optical member partially fixed to a frame unit, and excessive stress applied on the optical member and deformation of the optical member may be prevented. That is, support strength of the optical member may be improved by supplementarily using the limiting part. Note that the optical member is partially fixed to the frame unit, and fastening parts and the number of parts are reduced and downsizing becomes easier and reduction in weight of the virtual image display device is easier. Further, the optical member is partially fixed to the frame unit, and thus, even when there is a difference in coefficient of thermal expansion between the optical member and the frame unit, the expansion or the like of the optical member with respect to the frame unit is allowed and distortion, deformation, breakage of the optical member may be prevented more reliably.

  • Publication number: 20190033794
Abstract: A wearable device includes, as shown in FIG. 8, a light source and a plurality of tactile switches. A plan view of FIG. 8 is a figure of a substrate in a planar view from the normal direction of a display. The position of the light source does not overlap the plurality of tactile switches. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the thickness in a Z-axis direction of the wearable device. It is possible to improve portability of the wearable device.

  • Publication number: 20190033680
Abstract: A front light includes a first diffusing section and a second diffusing section. The first diffusing section is an annular member that diffuses light emitted from an LED. The inner circumferential surface of the first diffusing section has higher surface roughness than the other surfaces among a plurality of surfaces of the first diffusing section. Because the first diffusing section is annular, the light emitted from the LED revolves while reflecting in the first diffusing section and is uniformized in the first diffusing section. On the inner circumferential surface of the first diffusing section, because the surface roughness is higher than the surface roughness of the other surfaces, reflected lights decrease and refracted lights increase. The refracted light is guided to the second diffusing section. In this way, the light emitted from the Led is guided to the second diffusing section after being uniformized in the first diffusing section.
