  • Patent number: 6230785
Abstract: An electrically-driven closure apparatus for building includes a shutter curtain, a driving device for driving the shutter curtain to open and close an opening, a load detecting spring disposed between the driving device and a fixed member or the frame, and sensors for detecting the rotation of the driving device. The driving device is supported rotatably around the axis of the extending shaft in accordance with load variation. The load detecting spring is slidably fixed by a spring fixing member. Thus, the spring fixing member can be used also as an adjustment member for adjusting the spring constant.

  • Patent number: 6125907
Abstract: An electrically-driven closure apparatus for building includes the following parts: a shutter curtain, a driving device for driving the shutter curtain to open and close an opening by forward and backward driving power of an electric motor, the driving device being rotationally displaceable forward and backward relative to a fixed part in accordance with load applied thereto; a forward load detecting spring disposed between the driving device and a fixed member or the frame, so as to produce force which resists forward rotational movement of the driving device; a backward load detecting spring disposed between the driving device and a fixed member or the frame, so as to produce force which resists backward rotational movement of the driving device; and sensors for detecting the rotational displacements of the driving device. Spring constants of the forward and backward load detecting springs are independently adjustable.

  • Patent number: 5460216
Abstract: A pair of links hangingly support a bearing plate that secures a winding shaft of a shutter curtain. The links are arranged so that the dimension of the space accommodating the links can be minimized. A first link pivots at one end to an end of the bearing plate, adjacent to a shutter guide, and swings at the base end to a side wall of the shutter case so as to project upward away from the shutter guide. A second link pivots at one end to the other end of the bearing plate, away from the shutter guide, and swings at the base end to a portion of the side wall of the shutter case so that the second link extends under the winding shaft toward the shutter guide to bypass the winding shaft. Thus, both the first and second links can be accommodated within the diameter of the winding wheel.

  • Patent number: 5265663
Abstract: An architectural shutter curtain device having a train of a plurality of slats connected in series and adapted to be wound to form a plurality of turns on a take-up shaft of a polygonal shape having n apices. The width of the slats is varied in accordance with the change in the diameter of the wound shutter curtain device. In a group of n pieces of slats which form any one of the turns of the polygon formed when the shutter curtain device S is wound, the first to (n-2)-th slats and the n-th slat P.sub.n as counted from the winding start end have an equal width corresponding to the length of one side of the polygonal form, while the (n-1)-th slat of the group has the same width as the first to (n-2)-th slats of the group of n pieces of slats which form the next turn of a polygonal form of an increased size.

  • Patent number: 5265662
Abstract: A shutter curtain for an opening such as a window or door of a building comprising: slats each of which is made of materials having different rigidity values, wherein the shutter curtain is formed by arranging the slats in series. Furthermore, the shutter curtain for a building opening comprising: main slats made of a rigid material; and sub-slats made of a material having elasticity, wherein two end portions of the main and sub-slats are connected in series so that the shutter curtain is constituted.
