  • Patent number: 8776099
Abstract: There is provided a disk device that prevents entering of foreign matters, and that forms an opening/closing lid using an inclined surface of a front wall so that the disk device has a design according to which the thickness is not noticeable. A front wall 1a of an outer case 1 includes an inclined surface whose front part is inclined downward. An opening portion 1b is provided to the front wall 1a of the outer case 1, and a lid 2 that covers the opening portion 1b while allowing it to be opened or closed is provided. The lid 2 is configured to move, by rotating about a rotation shaft provided in a direction crossing a disk conveyance direction, between a closed lid position 2A in which the lid is flush with the inclined surface such that a disk insertion opening 1c is not exposed to the outside and an open lid position 2B in which the disk insertion opening 1c is exposed to the outside and a disk 200 is guided to the disk insertion opening 1c.

  • Publication number: 20090002520
Abstract: An imaging apparatus reduces flicker occurring under fluorescent lamp illumination in real time and also effectively reduces noise of a captured image generated by low-sensitive pixel areas fixed on an imaging surface. The imaging apparatus obtains a first image signal including no flicker element and a second image signal including a flicker element for each frame, and calculates a gain correction coefficient for eliminating the flicker element in the second image signal based on the first and second image signals, eliminates the flicker element from the second image signal based on the gain correction coefficient, and combines the first and second image signals to generate an image signal from which the flicker element has been eliminated. The imaging apparatus also effectively reduces noise of a captured image generated by low-sensitive pixel areas fixed on an imaging surface by changing the charge accumulation time of pixels depending on each frame.

  • Publication number: 20090002513
Abstract: An imaging apparatus requiring a large dynamic range captures an image including a moving image with an increased dynamic range without degrading resolution. In an imaging apparatus 100, an L/S separation unit 3 generates a long-signal and a short-signal based on a video signal output from an imaging unit 1, which includes an image sensor having a first group of pixels that accumulate charge for a first charge accumulation time and a second group of pixels that accumulate charge for a second charge accumulation time. A saturation detection unit 4 detects whether the long-signal is saturated. A saturated part of the long-signal is replaced with an interpolated long-signal, which is a signal having the same signal level as the long-signal obtained by interpolation using the short-signal. A selector unit 8 outputs the resulting long-signal as a corrected long signal.

  • Publication number: 20080316333
Abstract: An imaging apparatus enables flicker correction with small errors even when illumination changes in the image capturing environment or when the imaging apparatus is moved. In an imaging apparatus 100, an imaging unit 1 obtains an image-A signal including no flicker element and an image-B signal including a flicker element for each frame, an image-B gain calculation unit 3 calculates a correction coefficient for eliminating the flicker element included in the image-B signal based on the image-A signal and the image-B signal, an image-B gain correction unit 5 eliminates the flicker element from the image-B signal based on the correction coefficient, and an image A/B combining unit 6 combines the image-A signal and the image-B signal. In this manner, the imaging apparatus 100 generates an image signal from which the flicker element has been eliminated.

  • Patent number: 7424728
Abstract: A disk drive is provided for restraining deterioration of the verticality of the optical axis of an optical pickup in relation to the surface of the disk when the side of the disk to be scanned for the recording and/or reproducing action is alternated from one side to the other side, in recording and/or reproducing data signals on both sides of the disk. The disk drive (1) includes a turn table (11) on which a disk D is rotatably supported, a pickup (12) for recording and/or reproducing data signals on both sides of the disk D rotated by the turn table (11), and a disk tray (31) for transferring the disk D between a recording and reproducing position which confronts the turn table (11) and a loading and unloading position at the outside of the disk drive (1). A turning movement mechanism is provided for turning the turn table (11) and the pickup (12) at once from a first position which confronts the one side of the disk D to a second position which confronts the other side of the disk D or vice versa.
