    Abstract: A rubber composition for tires, comprising a rubber component and a vegetable oil wherein the vegetable oil contains palmitic acid and oleic acid in a mass ratio ((palmitic acid)/(oleic acid)) of 0.65 or more and 1.2 or less. It is preferred that the vegetable oil is palm oil. It is more preferred that the vegetable oil has an iodine value of 50 or more and 75 or less. It is more preferred that the vegetable oil has an oleic acid content of 40% by mass or more and 53% by mass or less.
