  • Patent number: 8125174
Abstract: A driving method of a high speed rotation stepping motor exhibiting good starting performance, its driving circuit, and a vibration motor and a fan motor employing them. The motor driven electronic apparatus comprises a two pole flat stator, a rotor consisting of a two pole permanent magnet coupling magnetically with the two pole flat stator through a gap, stopping with detent torque and secured to the rotor shaft, and a drive coil. The motor driven electronic apparatus is characterized in that at least any one of the reference voltage of an amplifier constituting a rotor position detector and the reference voltage of a comparator constituting the rotor position detector are used more than one.

  • Patent number: 6385133
Abstract: An electronic apparatus with an azimuth meter is capable of measuring an accurate azimuth and is made small even if one or a plurality of magnetized members for generating a magnetic field exists. Magnetic screen is provided for shielding an azimuth sensor from a magnetic field generated from a battery and a stepping motor. Moreover, when the stepping motor rests, an azimuth is measured, and rotor rest time and a direction of the magnetic field generated from a rotor are predicted based on rotor rotation starting time and a direction of a driving current flowing through a coil, and the measured azimuth is corrected according to the predicted result.

  • Patent number: 6349075
Abstract: A small electronic equipment with a vibration alarm has, as a drive source, a flat stator type bipolar stepping motor, which has a rotor having high durability, can be assembled easily, requires low power consumption, is started constantly stably, and can be rotated at a high speed. In this electronic equipment with the vibration alarm, a rotor (1) is rotated by a rotary drive system including a drive pulse generating means (112, 113, 114), a drive circuit (110), a flat stator (6), a counter electromotive voltage detection coil (306), and a magnetic pole position detection means (107, 115, 116), so that an eccentric weight (2) fixed to the rotor is rotated, thereby generating vibration. The drive pulse generating means outputs a pulse signal for driving the stepping motor on the basis of an alarm signal output at alarm time. The drive circuit supplies a drive current to a drive coil (305) on the basis of the pulse signal from the drive pulse generating means.

  • Patent number: 5940348
Abstract: An electronic timepiece in accordance with the present invention includes a time clocking circuit for counting reference signals from a reference signal generating circuit to provide time information as its output; a warning device for warning the user of a specific time, by use of vibrations or a buzzer, on the basis of time information derived from the time clocking circuit; and a timepiece state detection device for detecting the states of the temperature and the power source voltage of the timepiece and, if the detection values deviate from predetermined values, the detection device operates to stop the warning action of the warning means. The timings of time information derived from the time clocking circuit differ from each other between when the timepiece state detection device has detected a low temperature of the timepiece and when it has detected a low voltage at the power source, and differ from the time information timing at the normal state.

  • Patent number: 5701278
Abstract: A power supply unit having a power generation portion 1 and a power storage portion 4 to supply power to an electronic watch 3. The power storage portion is formed by a plurality of cells 41, 42, each having the same capacity and having switches 51, 52 connected in series, a switch 53 is connected in series between the plurality of cells 41, 42, and these switches 51, 52, and 53 are switched by signals from a voltage detector circuit 6. This arrangement reduces initial actuation time and expands the time for which the electronic appliance continues to operate.
