  • Patent number: 11383736
Abstract: A vehicle battery controller includes a sensor configured to acquire information on a subordinate battery configured to back up a main battery during autonomous driving, a DDC provided between the main battery and the subordinate battery, a switching circuit configured to switch a connection state of the subordinate battery between a connection state for manual driving and a connection state for the autonomous driving, and an electronic control unit configured to control charging and discharging of the subordinate battery by controlling the DDC and the switching circuit based on the information acquired by the sensor. The electronic control unit permits the autonomous driving when determination is made, through first battery control, that the subordinate battery can output backup power. The electronic control unit determines whether the subordinate battery can output the backup power by executing second battery control having higher accuracy than that of the first battery control.

  • Patent number: 9741992
Abstract: A bus bar module includes bus bars and block circuits. A voltage detection circuit included in each block circuit detects voltage values of electric storage elements via lines connected to the respective bus bars. The number of the electric storage elements assigned to a first block circuit is an even number equal to or larger than a minimum number and smaller than a maximum number. The number of the electric storage elements assigned to a second block circuit is equal to or larger than the minimum number and smaller than the maximum number. The number of the electric storage elements assigned to each third block circuit is the maximum number.

  • Publication number: 20150024242
Abstract: A battery monitoring device includes a first unit arranged outside a plurality of stacks each of which includes cells; a plurality of second units arranged in each of the stacks to output voltage data of the cells; a signal line that connects the second units and the first unit in a daisy chain mode; and a detection unit that detects a stack voltage wherein the first unit determines that a disconnection is generated on the signal line when a response is not received from the plurality of second units via the signal line after sending data is sent to the plurality of second units via the signal line and, determines on which path of the signal line, a forward path or a backward path, the disconnection is generated based on a difference between the stack voltage and a total of all detected output voltages sent from the second units.
