  • Patent number: 8223359
Abstract: The printing device receives the printing data for confidential printing, and determines an output destination of the printing data received for confidential printing to be either a lockable output bin or a digital output bin. The lockable output bin can be locked and unlocked by a key and the print data can be output to the lockable output bin in a form of being printed on recording medium. The digital output bin holds the printing data and allows the printing data being held therein to be read out for printing when a user is verified. When the lockable output bin is assigned as the output destination and the lockable output bin of the printing device that received the printing data is in an unusable state, another printing device having a lockable output bin that can be used is searched and the printing data is transferred to the other printing device.

  • Patent number: 7800767
Abstract: A printing device receives print data for confidential printing, and decides the output destination of the print data received for confidential printing either to be a lockable output bin that can be opened by a key so that the print data can be outputted in a format of being printed on paper, or a digital output bin that is capable of holding the print data and allowing the print data held there to be taken out for printing based on user verification.

  • Publication number: 20090015851
Abstract: Disclosed a color calibration system including: a first printing system; and a second printing system, wherein a first image processing apparatus includes: a controller to control the first printing apparatus, to obtain first measurement result data, and to calculate first differential data which is a difference between the first measurement result data and ideal value data; and a transmitting section, and a second image processing apparatus includes: a receiving section; and a controller to control the second printing apparatus, to obtain second measurement result data, to add the ideal value data and the first differential data to calculate target value data, to calculate second differential data which is a difference between the calculated target value data and the second measurement result data, and to calibrate a color conversion processing condition in the second image processing apparatus on the basis of the second differential data.

  • Publication number: 20080204774
Abstract: There is described a print controlling apparatus that acquires print data, which are described in the PDL and include objects having image attributes being different from each other, and converts the print data to raster data. When converting the print data to the raster data, the apparatus creates attribute data, in which an image processing attribute indicating a kind of image processing to be applied to each of pixels represented by the raster data is recorded, for every pixel included in the pixels, and then, applies an image processing based on the attribute data to the raster data. The attribute data designates one of image processing attributes that include a plurality of image processing attributes determined according to kinds of the image attributes of the objects and a specific image processing attribute determined corresponding to another image attribute being different from every one of the image attributes of the objects.

  • Patent number: 7160040
Abstract: Disclosed is a printing system comprising a printing device and a printing control device. The printing device makes a judgment as to whether it is necessary to correct a profile, which is information concerning reproduction characteristics of print data, and, if it is judged that the profile correction is necessary, the printing device outputs a predetermined standard chart, measures the output result using an image measuring unit provided on the printing device, calculates a differential profile, i.e., correction data, based on the measurement result, and transmits the calculated differential profile to the printing control device. The printing control device correct the profile based on the differential profile received from the printing device.
