An execution location of the target maneuver is determined. The target maneuver marking is outputted for display by the augmented reality display device. The target maneuver marking is displayed in such a way that the target maneuver marking is displayed in a stationary manner in the region of the execution location of the target maneuver perpendicularly on a lane to be travelled by the motor vehicle.

The method is characterized in that the AR overlay is calculated in such a way that the recalculated route is displayed at least at a certain first distance before a branch-off point, and the driver is given an operating option of switching back and forth between the overview of the recalculated route and the previously calculated route.

The coupling apparatus may be configured to modify the strength of the magnetic coupling based on the control signal to assist in insertion/removal. Under illustrative configurations, the docking body and the coupling apparatus allow for oblique insertion and oblique removal of the body of the remote device.
