  • Patent number: 10232943
Abstract: An aircraft passenger seat (100) is fixed to a floor via a seat track fitting (110), and a reclining assembly of the seat is supported by pipes (130, 132) passed through left and right legs (120) and spreaders (170). A linear actuator (300) operates a reclining motion. A curved arm for deformation is provided to a mount (320) on which the actuator (300) is mounted, and a slit (145) is provided in a link plate (140) to which a rod is connected, and in a state where a forward force F is applied, the curved arm deforms and absorbs the impact. An impact absorbing structure is also provided to the legs (120).

  • Patent number: 10011360
Abstract: In order to improve ease of maintenance of an aircraft passenger seat, the aircraft passenger seat 100 is adapted to be changeable between an upright position and a bed mode position at which the backrest is folded forward. A mechanism for locking the seat at each of the positions is provided with lock pins 350 provided on both sides of the backrest, a handle unit 200 mounted to a rear face of the backrest, and two wires 300 for connecting the handle unit 200 and the lock pins 350. A structure for connecting the wires 300 to the handle unit 200 is improved to facilitate the maintenance of the wires and to make the handle unit lightweight.

  • Patent number: 9849989
Abstract: An aircraft passenger seat (100) has a seat bottom frame (150), and the seat bottom frame (150) is supported by an eccentric cam (210). A seat back frame (170) which rotates about a support point (250) is provided with a damper mechanism (300). When the seat back frame (170) is tilted forward from an upright position about the support point (250), a gas damper (310) is compressed and prevents rapid tilting. This energy assists force for returning the seat back to the upright position. The eccentric cam (210) rotates and lowers the seat bottom frame (150) so as to prevent cushions from being collapsed. A lock mechanism (400) highly rigidly retains the seat back frame at a bed mode position.

  • Patent number: 9731830
Abstract: Provided is an improved reclining mechanism for an aircraft passenger seat. An aircraft passenger seat (100) is provided with a seat bottom frame (152) which constitutes a seat surface, and a seat back frame (162) which constitutes a back rest, wherein cam followers (240, 242) provided on both sides of the seat back frame (162) slide within cam grooves (132) on spreaders (130) supporting both sides of a seat mechanism. When an actuator (200) expands and pivots a link arm (230) in the direction of an arrow R1 to cause the seat back frame (162) to start reclining, a link plate (270) extends in the direction of an arrow F1, and pivots a head rest frame (172) in the ? direction. This operation prevents the line of sight of the passenger from being deviated from a video device provided on a back of a front seat.
