  • Patent number: 5922269
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a plastic pallet having a deck and legs underneath the deck includes forming an extruded parison, while still hot, into an article having a pallet deck and integrated sheet legs along its longitudinal, transverse, or both sides. The formed article is removed from the mold and the formed sheet legs are brought into a position perpendicular to the pallet deck and then are fastened in that position.

  • Patent number: 5845588
Abstract: A pallet fabricated made of a thermoplastic material is produced by joining together individually fabricated structural components, each individually thermoformed from an extruded plastic parison of a multilayer structure. The structural components include a deck in the form of a continuous sheet with longitudinal and transverse sides, one or more upper runner components fastened by their top side to the bottom of the deck, each of which includes a cross member with downward-facing posts, and one or more lower runner components, each of which includes a cross member with upward-facing posts and which is fastened by the tops of its posts to the bottoms of matching posts on the corresponding upper runner components.

  • Patent number: 5622444
Abstract: In a connecting arrangement on first and second parts which are to be connected, the first part carries an extension and the second part has an opening into which the extension engages when the parts are in the connected position. The extension has an aperture. A projection extending into the opening in the second part engages in the aperture when the parts are in the connected position. An arresting tongue projects into the aperture in the extension. When the two parts are brought together the arresting tongue is pivoted by the projection into the position in which it bears against a region of the boundary wall defining the opening in the first part and thus secures the parts in the connected position.

  • Patent number: 5330067
Abstract: A collapsible transport box is formed from an essentially planar material blank including a bottom and side walls and a lid, as appropriate. The side walls are hinged or otherwise attached to the bottom so as to be foldable relative to the bottom. The walls are joined at the box corners by releasable connections, each of which includes a vertical slot or hole in a first side wall and an outward extending fastening tongue on an end edge of a second side wall. The fastening tongue extends through the slot and is bent sideways so that its external section extends over an external region of the first side wall.

  • Patent number: 5147270
Abstract: An apparatus for folding and joining boxes formed from flat or basically flat box material includes a device for advancing box materials from stock or storage to a device for pre-treating the box materials by heating prior to welding or by application of glue, a device for folding the box materials and holding the box materials in a folded position until a joining operation is ended, and a device for transporting the thus formed boxes to storage or the like.

  • Patent number: 4896790
Abstract: A thermo box (1) for the transportation of fresh goods, such as meat, fish, medicines or the like, consists of a double sidewall, cover and bottom construction of a thermoplastic material. A hollow space (7, 8, 9) in the base portion defining the bottom of the box, sidewalls and the cover is filled with air or some other gas. The basic shape of the box is a generally flat hollow moulding (2), wherein the side walls (4) are folded upwardly along weakening lines (5) and joined at their corners. An inner sheet (19) of the base portion of the box has drainage channels (24) and through holes (25) permitting ice and drainage water exuded from the moist goods to flow into the hollow space (9) in the bottom of the box, where it is trapped. The hollow moulding (2) is produced via blast moulding, wherein plastic material is extruded through a ring shaped nozzle (10) to form a hose (11), which is then inflated and shaped between two dies (15, 16).
