Abstract: A method for providing information to a client over a peer-to-peer network, the method includes: receiving, by a tracker proxy, a re-directed first request of a client to access a tracker; and sending, by the tracker proxy, a first response that identifies a network cache as a peer. A method for providing a video file to a client, the method includes: receiving a request of a client to retrieve a video file from a web site or another external source out of multiple requests that are sent to multiple information sources; and providing to the client cache a first response that identifies a network cache as a source of the video file.

Abstract: A network cache (30) that includes multiple storage units (20) and multiple control units (10) that are coupled to multiple user devices (50) via a network (40), wherein the network cache is adpated to receive a file related request provided from a user device, and wherein the network cache is adapted to respond to the file related request by a selected control unit and by a selected storage unit, wherein the selected storage unit is selected in response to a file related request based on a file tag that is responsive to a content of the file, and wherein the selected control unit is selected in response to an identity of the user device.

Abstract: A system and method for managing peer to peer traffic. The method includes: identifying a peer to peer request and in response providing at least one address of a peer to peer server within a cluster that is adapted to service peer to peer requests. The system includes a cluster of peer to peer servers; and a first device adapted to identify a peer to peer request and to provide at least one address of a peer to peer server within the cluster.
