  • Patent number: 9932948
Abstract: A valve for metering a fluid, which is used in particular as a fuel injector for internal combustion engines, includes an electromagnetic actuator and a valve needle, which is actuatable by the actuator, and is used for actuating a valve closing body, which interacts with a valve seat surface to form a seal seat. An armature of the actuator has a through hole, through which the valve needle extends. The armature is guided on the valve needle movably and with clearance. Furthermore, a stop surface which is fixed in place with respect to the valve needle is provided, on which the armature strikes with its end face in conjunction with an actuation. During an axial alignment of the armature with respect to the valve needle, an angle offset is predefined between the stop surface and the end face of the armature.

  • Publication number: 20170328309
Abstract: A gas injector for injecting a gaseous fuel, in particular directly into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, including: a valve closing element for opening or closing a pass-through opening, a valve body, and a sealing seat between the valve body and the valve closing element, in the case of a maximum lift of the valve closing element a flow cross section between the valve body and the valve closing element being smaller in the flow direction upstream from the sealing seat than a flow cross section between the valve closing element and the sealing seat and being smaller than a flow cross section in the flow direction downstream from the sealing seat.

  • Publication number: 20170321636
Abstract: A gas injector for directly injecting a gaseous fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, including a valve closure element for releasing and closing a passage opening, the valve closure element opening in the direction of a flow direction of the gas injector, a sealing seat between the valve closure element and a valve body, a flow-guiding element being situated downstream of the sealing seat in the flow direction of the gas injector and configured to form a gas jet to be injected into the combustion chamber.

  • Patent number: 9546630
Abstract: An injection valve for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber includes: a housing having at least one spray discharge orifice on a discharge side; a solenoid coil; a magnet armature linearly movable by the solenoid coil; a valve needle for opening and closing the spray discharge orifice, which valve needle projects through the magnet armature and is linearly movable along a longitudinal axis, the magnet armature being linearly movable in relation to the valve needle between a first stop and a second stop, the second stop being formed by a stop element having a stop face and a counter element having a counter face situated opposite the stop face, the stop element having an elastic design so that an angle between the longitudinal axis and the stop face is changed when the counter face strikes the stop face.
