  • Patent number: 9878837
Abstract: A package for a food product is provided and includes a fin seal, where the package is configured for controlled opening using an opening feature. The opening feature may include an integral flap separable from the remainder of the package to form an access opening to an interior of the package. The flap may be defined by one or more score or scribed lines that extend only partially through the package. The flap may have a portion extending into the fin seal area. Opening of the flap may expose adhesive of the fin seal area which can be utilized for attaching the flap to reclose the package.

  • Patent number: 9878827
Abstract: A reclosable package for food products has the following features: a cold seal formed between a first and a second sealing portion, in which the bonding force of the cold seal to the first and the second sealing portion is greater than the bonding force within the cold seal, so that the cold seal is separated and partly adheres to the first, and partly adheres to the second sealing portion when the seal is opened, or a seal with an initial opening force of 2, preferably 2.5, to 4 N/15 mm, and opening forces for one or more reclosings of 0.5 to 2 N/15 mm, preferably 1 to 1.5 N/15 mm.

  • Patent number: 9096351
Abstract: A reclosable package for flood products had the following features: a cold seal formed between a first and a second sealing portion, in which the bonding force of the cold seal to the first and the second sealing portion is greater than the bonding force within the cold seal, so that the cold seal is separated and partly adheres to the first, and partly adheres to the second sealing portion when the seal is opened or, a seal with an initial opening force of 2, preferably 2.5, to a 4 N/15 mm, and opening forces for one or more re-closings of 0.5 to 2 N/15 mm, preferably 1 to 1.5 N/15 mm.

  • Publication number: 20150131928
Abstract: The invention relates to a package (1, 1?, 1?, 1??, 100) formed of a sheet (10). The package comprises a first sealing region (2) extending in a first direction and a second sealing region (4) extending in a second direction which is substantially parallel to the first direction, the first and second sealing regions (2, 4) being spaced apart a first distance. Further, the package comprises a third sealing region (6) extending in a third direction which is substantially perpendicular to the first and second directions and a fourth sealing region (8) extending in a fourth direction which is substantially parallel to the third direction, the third and fourth sealing regions (6, 8) being spaced apart a second distance.

  • Patent number: 8889205
Abstract: A resealable package integrity closure includes a film layer forming a top of a container and a flap defining an access opening. A sealing panel completely covers the flap of the film layer. A releasable adhesive is provided on either or both the film layer and the sealing panel for adhering the sealing panel to the film layer. The sealing panel is releasable from the film layer by pulling the sealing panel back in a peeling direction and reclosable against the top to seal the access opening when the sealing panel is moved back against the top. A coating of transferable material is provided on either the sealing panel or on the film layer, which is transferable therebetween to provide a visual indication that the closure has been previously opened.
