Abstract: An adjustable height stand for a visual display unit incorporates a column adjustably mounted within a base part, with a gear train for effecting vertical adjustment. The gear train incorporates a helical gear arranged with its axis in parallel with the column, and cooperates with a gear part mounted to the column. The helical gear may be rotated by a hand wheel through a gear train incorporating a pair of meshing bevel gears. Alternatively, the helical gear may be driven by a motor. The stand is rotatable relative to the work surface about a vertical axis, and the visual display unit is tiltable relative to the support. The spring is provided for compensating for the weight of the visual display unit.

Abstract: A video terminal has a housing composed of a basic housing encompassing a back portion of a picture tube and a frame encompassing a picture area of the tube. The basic housing is uniformly designed for a plurality of picture tubes of different sizes and variously designed frames are adapted to the basic housing in accordance with a respective picture tube. The frames are preferably secured to support mounts fixed to the frame which are disposed in said basic housing. Given an axially symmetrical design of said support mounts, the frame with said picture tube is optionally insertable either horizontally or vertically. The frame can be formed of one or more parts. The parts of the frame and/or of the frames and the basic housing can be connected to one another by snap-in closures.

Abstract: A system for setting up a data display device on a work surface, functions for elevation adjusting, for rotating, and for swivelling the data display device. The system, which is particularly economical, has a stand with a telescope member adjustable in height thereon. A base plate is attached thereupon, and a rotary plate is supported on the base plate. The rotary plate has an arch 5 upon which sliding elements are guided, and to which the data display device is fastened.
