    Abstract: An implement for transfer of long pieces. At least two casings are fitted in a frame of the implement. Inside the casings ends of the long pieces bound in a bundle can be inserted. The ends of the pieces are supported to the casings when the piece is lifted, and the casings lift all the pieces with them. Mounting units are fitted in the frame for mounting to a transfer device for moving the implement and for transferring the pieces. A system includes a transfer device, on which the implement is mounted; and at least one bundle of long pieces bound to each other. Placement, shape and dimensions of the pieces substantially corresponds to placement, shape and dimensions of the casings such that the ends of the pieces can be inserted into the casings of the implement for the transfer of the bundle.

A roll is placed transversely in relation to the moving fabric or web and arranged to rotate around a rotation axis. The roll includes an outer mantle through which a liquid or air flow can enter the inside of the roll. The rotating roll is placed inside a chamber. The chamber includes an opening in a direction of the rotating axis. The opening is arranged to expose at least a part of the outer mantle such that the moving fabric or web tangential to the chamber can be supported against the outer mantle. At least a spiral, screw or threaded structure is arranged inside the rotating roll at a distance from the outer mantle, and is arranged to rotate around a rotating axis and to transfer liquid or air that has entered the roll in the direction of the rotation axis.

    Abstract: An implement for manipulating and loading containers. A lifting carriage has a total width smaller than a door opening of a container to be loaded. A guide surface extends over the total width of the lifting carriage. Two fork arms are movable and supported by the guide surface. The fork arms have a narrow position for the manipulation of loads, in which a total width of the arms is smaller than the total width of the lifting carriage. Two bearings move the arms. Each bearing is provided between each arm and the guide surface. The fork arms also have a wide position for manipulating containers and for fork pockets of a container, in which the total width of the arms is greater than the total width of the lifting carriage. In another example, two transfer carriages are provided, which are coupled to the lifting carriage and are movable and supported by the guide surface.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for feeding reaction gas and solids into a suspension smelting furnace, which apparatus comprises at least conduits for receiving reaction gas and solids and for further conducting them into a suspension smelting furnace, and in which apparatus at least the major part of the reaction gas is fed into the suspension smelting furnace through a reaction gas channel surrounding the solids feeding channel. According to the invention, in the reaction gas channel, essentially near to its end on the side of the suspension smelting furnace, there are installed adjusting members whereby the flow rate of the reaction gas fed into the suspension smelting furnace can be adjusted essentially steplessly.
